Default Zerker Gear Questions

So after looking through this forum I haven't really found anything useful as in the way of gear for t8 berserkers. The endgame raid gear list is great but doesn't really give any gear lists to people who aren't quite raiding VP and beyond yet. Does anyone have any suggestions for gear including shard armor and legendary and quests pieces that are a must have for berserkers? thanks

T1 / T2 shard gear is a must have IMO... Some of the jewlery is also very nice, convientlly with the name Berserker in it... If you dont have T1 / T2 shard gear start gettin the legendary gear from ROK... Ganaks torque from VOES is very nice to have as well as the Mantle of the Jarsath Tribe from MC... Carotid cutter from CoA is amazing to have for DW or if you dont have your epic yet... I must say it is a pain for me personally to tank the shard zones wearing the ROK legendary stuff, seein as how now everyone you would be groupin with there has such great gear hard to keep agro off em...

Assuming you have no raid gear. I'd aim for

Head: Shard armor
Shoulders: Mantle of the Jarsath (Maidens)
Chest: Shard armor (Mighty Hauberk for zones like cavern of the afflicted)
Forearms: Armguards of the Elite Ya-Lei Shocktroops (Chelsith)
Hands: Shard Armor
Legs: Shard Armor
Feet: Shard Armor

Thats would pretty much be my suggestion. Theres some T1/T2 raid gear that can replace like legs, feet, and forearms, but other than that shard armor is kinda the way to go.

Oh and ganaks torque (vaults) for the neck is jawesome

Chest: Gi from Maiden for dps purpose or the one from slamhammer when tanking groups (Mutagenic burst)

Glove: "Mystery mark" heritage quest... those leather gloves kick ass with same mitig as plate and procs +10 shield effectivness O_o

Neck: If you don't have raid gear but you can find a great group to clean varsoon he drops a nice necklace, or you can farm Vault to get the +5 crit necklace (or mastercraft 2% riposte one for avoid)

Shoulders: Leather t2 shoulders with +3 melee crit and +7% base CA damage are nice for dps again, mantle tribe for tanking.

isn't there a T2 plate shoulder slot with the 8% ca and spell damage instead of the leather?

Shit can the Mantle of the Jarsath IMO. The shard shoulders have 2 extra mit T1, 3 mit on T2. Keep you shard 5 piece bonus and you're rocking 7-10 +mit. And you can still swap out the BP.

Mantle of the Jarsath = 5 parry, 4 def? (can't remember the exact numbers)
Shard set bonus = 700-800 over all mit minus 4 def, and a couple of parry.

Set bonus > 1-2 parry, 4 def the Mantle has over the Shard shoulders.

Mantle is still one of the best shoulders available, 25 Str 50 Sta 200HP +4 DA +5 Def & Parry 558 Mit. I guess T2 Shard shoulders are slightly better but they cost alot of shards.

If we are talking about tanking, then HP is better than mitig everytime. Mantle>Tx shoulders.

Well, there is one plate shoulders with 3 DA and 5% CA but the upgrade loose the +3 DA, so for dps the leather one is the way to go.
