+mitigation that we are seeing now on items are actually adding to your base mit like others are saying... which means the +15% on d stance is made even better

for instance:
you have a peice of armor that normally gives 100mit when you examine the item
add +5% from gear and when you examine that same peice again it will read 105

the +15% we get from d-stance give what i would call a mini buff that just ups your overall mitigation.

so the +mit on gear upgrades all your gear and then your d-stance adds more after all that has been calculated

confused yet? im terrible at explaining things.

and i dont know to answer the contested or not question... i would say that it is contested against the mit you currently have on the item if that makes sence which i dont think it does....

btw do us all a favor and /feedback on test asking to give us the same crit bonus that gaurds get on thier first peice cause its pretty much not fair right now

why?

they get 7% from THIER FIRST TSO PEICE (bracers) and then 3% from thier last peice (BP).. totall = 10% all the time

we get 2% from the first peice (bracers) and then 3% from both our last 2 peices (legs and BP) and then 8% from full set bonus while in ostance.... total 8% all the time and 16% half the time.

the problem is most people wont even see the last 2 peices for a very very long time (if they see it at all) so the whole time they are sitting at 7% and we are at 2%.

why the hell gaurds need crit bonus so early is beyond me... and 7%? really?

good question i havent tested to see if it also increase your spell mitigation but i would assume it only upgrades your armor which means only physical

Ok, thanks. That makes kind of sense. But if it just increases the (contested) mitigation of your armor, is this really worth it?

And yes, the distribution of crit bonus on the sets is just plain stupid.

so i added up all the stats and whatnot and this is the difference (important ones imo)

Guard
8 more parry AND 6 more def
66 more agi
1 more DA, and 2 more MCB
2 more Mit Inc

Zerk
9 more MC
7 more DPS
10 more aggression (although this is moot since we get crap on our stances)

I dont count stance bonuses when looking at the sets cause god knows SOE will fuck that up again. Not to mention we only get our bonuses while in a certain stance while they get theirs 100% of the time... I think they should have the same #MCB as us and then we get extra on our stance... we are the offensive tank after all. I'd also personally rather more DA on our set than MC, but thats me. I seem to have a much harder time finding DA gear than MC gear.

We've got 12DA and 25MC, I'd prefer more like 17 and 20, or even 20 and 17 (respectively).

I've came to realize that majority of the loot contains mainly/only MC, not DA. High end stuff has DA, but i'd like to see some more DA on earlier items too.

disscussing it here is fine and dandy but the best thing we can do is log into test and /feedback or go to the official forums and rant there.
I have done so and i suggest you guys do to or else nothing gets looked into.
Im not disscuraging discusstions here im just saying to get them to hear us we have to assume they dont read these boards.

One affects your chance to do a critical hit, the other affects how much your critical hits do. (at leasts thats my opinion of it).
