if you've got a temp and dirge the claw proc's stupid often. and thats a pretty hard hitting ecounter dot... unless i needed it to live i'd use the claw over HoM

Com, don't you see a difference while using a shield on multiple encounters ? O_o

On trainig dummys I parse like 1K higher when there's 4 of them than when dual wielding.

And I don't understand how you get more dps from claw of khalen... with the maillet its always near 6k zws for autoattacks

so by making a post about it and then necro posting to bust fyreflight's balls, I got my old shields upgraded, but they are still pretty much useless, I don't know if I've found inspiration to do more of the same, or proof that it doesn't help

I'll try with multiple dummies and on that you're probably right since claw only affects multiple mobs of the same encounter rather than being pure AoE, which, except in instances and maybe palace trash depending how many u pull at a time, doubt it will happen a lot.

About claw vs hammer i still even have the crappy 3% riposte adorn on claw whereas i have vampiric handle on hammer, claw still outparses it a lot (claw's proc is about 100-145 ExtDPS).

tried 3 sets of 5 dummies each for both HoM and Claw,

first try Mythical + HoM
Highest ExtDPS: 13161 (on third try)
Average ExtDPS: 11904
Average Furious Assault DPS: 427.85
Average Slashing DPS: 6372
Average System Shock DPS: 0 (since i didn't have claw equipped)

2nd try: Mythical + Claw:
Highest ExtDPS: 12194 (third try)
Average ExtDPS: 11925
Average Furious Assault DPS: 297
Average Slashing DPS: 6393
Average System Shock DPS: 106

If you manage to make bigger numbers let me know what changes, ofc i wasn't using slipstones/pots or stuff like that.
