Default Re: Is a berserker for me?

was just stateing my opinion.

I didnt say zerkers or any other tank cant MT im says that gaurd is still better given the same gear/skill as the other player only because they have more tools... stoneskins/max hp/TSO gaurd endline uncontested avoid temp buff... and that is just for taking hits... thier ST agro is pretty sweet too if they got the gear/skill to parse.

But yea i agree any plate tank can tank everything going right now all they need is the skill/gear.

I actually recently got pumped into the MT role for our guild since our MT gaurd quit the game. And i dont see me getting moved from that spot for a very long time untill we get a really badass gaurd. But hes got to be good.

The reason guards are better imo:

1) reinforcements
2) hp buffs
3) reinforcements

I can still tank anything our MT guard can though. I really only have an issue with memwiping mobs.

For someone who's not serious about MTing and just wants to have fun goofing around, I wouldn't recommend a Guardian to anyone. They're quite painful to play.

here a nice combo for you lot to try iv been uesing it forever now I have better belts but cant find any thing that save your ass better than iron-plated utility belt with adrenaline it turns your zerker in to a stone wall you can pick up any mob a 1k to 2k ward with 50% less damage and that with out what your mit or avoid is

the t2 void bp has 2% less damage on it with adrenaline running is it 52% less damage you are takeing each hit ???
battle hardening from the shadow line means you take 350 less damage each hit hows this working with wards and adrenaline ???

not just that iv put aa in to adrenaline which give me a 1k hate every time I hit a mob so im not just using it to stop damage now iv even uesd it as a way to kind off stop aoes I think its the god off all tank saves dont think any thing beats it and for you lot that think the power cost sucks in the right group I dont even see the power cost when you but the zerker class next to the guard class there not much in it one has more hp and def and the other has stronger dps but both can tank every thing in the game a good raid forces would ues a zerker to clear a zone and guard for named

They don't have tons of stoneskins. They only have one that we do not, and thats TOS. It'll absorb 3 hits.

Personally, I'd rather have Adrenaline.

HP wise? Our Guards aren't that much farther ahead then I am atm. And truthfully, I just spent 70 to 80 as a Guard.

Myself, I'm finding the Berserker to be way more versatile.

Edit: To clarify, yes Guards can take hits better. I'm just saying that when your stats start to become capped the separation between Guard and Berserker isn't as big as you might expect.

If you want to click the lamp at the Mynzak fight and get interrupted by every tick of the Adrenaline mana drain and wipe your raid you'd prefer having ToS over Adrenaline

Sentinel Sphere - EQ2i

and heres the tso AA i was talking about... 20% uncontested avoid for 20 secs? yes please (but yes i still like adren more) still a pretty badass skill considering its also a self jcap

Defensive Minded - EQ2i

as far as HP your gaurd should have at least 1k more then you by just casting 1 buff... and even more if he put AA's in it

all im saying is in my opinion in the end a same geared/buffed/skilled guard will outshine zerkers at taking hits. While also not relying on the rest of the grp to manage his power/reuse time.

But I'm also the MT for my guild now (recent change in the last week or so) and theres nothing i cant tank yet.
