Wow, thank you for the advice. I might try and find one (or two) more to give it a go. I was under the impression it could take quite a few kills. Hope I get it on the first one like you :D

There's your problem. Good luck to anyone holding aggro over a halfway decent wizard, warlock, or assassin without a dirge or coercer.

lol sounds like a challenge!

Anyway, as a fellow zerker, any aa advice? I read the other threads and they kinda contradicted each other.

ATM I have a strange spec going 448 in str, int and wis, 848 in stam and some in the zerker tree, mainly alone the aoe trees with the plus damage concentration not the plus area of effect. And quite a few in the tso trees (plus health and hate where available).

Currently 141 aa's.

lol I was holding pretty good agro against the trash but then they died so quickly I had very little chance to loose agro. I only really lost agro when the hammers spawned and I had to aoe. But yes, that is a very high dps group. :D

and with 141 AA's you'll prob want to sacrifice some out of the zerker tree to get the first few lines in the TSO tree. max hp, max power, innate damage reduction, reduce rescue, etc...

Cool. I will check out the pvp set up and maybe stash the tanking one in my aa mirror (although that is used atm for bountiful harvest and speed increase lol).

first, i:d like to tell ya a bit about myself, i have a 80 guard (myth) on najena, 184 AA, no problems holding aggro. I also have a new 80 zerker on unrest, almost in the exact situation as sloth, under 150 AA, T1 gear, basically a gimp. so here:s my 2 cents.

as mentioned before by so many, that grp was doomed from the start. A gimp zerker can:t hold aggro without any hate transfer. my advice to you and i:m serious when i say this, DO NOT grp without a dirge and/or coercer perferably both. if the grp says they have a swash or sin for transfer, tell them fuck off, seriously, as of now with your gear and AA (especially if they have myths) it:s just silly and demeaning.

But, that:s not what I wanted to write about. I:d like to discuss micro managing your CA:s. I:m not talking about timing your AA. Do you know exactly what each of your CA:s do? Daze, stifle, stun, knockdown? did you know that a zerker can effectively keep a mob stun locked for about 7 to 10 seconds (instance mobs). all this can help you keep aggro, or at least keep the mob from running around and smacking your grp members. A technique i:ve been using knowing that aggro might be a bit of a problem is this:

single target:
pre pull: equip shield, pre buffs
body pull back to grp. 2 taunts when mob is inc (yes i taunt)
mob is in melee range, body check (stuns the mob for a few seconds) switch to duel wield
war pledge, executioners wrath, frenzied hits, bloodshower (knockdown:stun), (another CA), stunning below (stuns encounter), follow up with your debuff CA:s. , this sequence effectively stun locks a mob for 7 to 10 seconds. by this time, the mob should be almost dead or at least debuffed considerably.

note on taunting: taunt, why not? hate is hate, the casting speed of your taunts is so fast you won:t notice casting them anyway, and more importantly, your single target taunt is has an interupt, if you get lucky enough to interupt a mobs cast, all the better for you. it:s an extremely beneficial skill to be able to watch a mob and interupt his casting and a must against some mobs (varsoon).

this thread was meant for the zerkers who don:t have the uber gear, weapons, or buffs, the ones that are just starting out and don:t have the last line in the TSO AA. the ones that find themselves having a troub healing their grp???

note on some strange characters in this text: i:m typing on a japanese keyboard and the characters are not where i:m used to and can:t be fucked looking for them so you:ll have to deal with the semi colon.

feedback on the micro managing techniques you guys use is most welcome, or any technique you have found to work when you:re not in that ideal grp for hate is most welcome aswell.

Telamon : 80 guard najena
Oileus : 80 zerker unrest
