Well, all his instance fabled will still be wearable if he betrays. What it pretty much boils down to in my eyes at least, is pausing your progression to not only gear him out in tso patterns, but also gearing yourself back out in tso patterns. And since patterns aren't smart loot, there is a good chance that it can take you a long time to get caught back up on patterns.

I already have the Zerker Myth, so not an issue there. TSO patterns will suck to farm, but I have the T3 set which wil hold me off for a while as no one else wanted the patterns when I was in there.

Newb question, but do Guards have an innate higher Mitigation or avoidance curve then Zerkers if wearing the same gear self buffed?

Guardians have higher mit with their 6 set bonus, and overall a bit more HP, otherwise they're about the same.

Yep compaired this the other night waiting for people to get salts for Xebnok, me with temps vs MT guard. He was defensive and i was offensive with temps he was at about 79% avoidance, i was 78% with temps, mit was about identical(think i was only like 200 points lower). If i went def for shits and grins i was about 80.2 iirc. Anf yeah Adrenaline is nuts for up front pulls. Also i dunno who u compaired on singles but i still beat every guard ive ever seen on singles, not by a massive amount but significant enough. Also DWing is nice but if you cant hold agro with trak shield buff while offensive witha shield on you hate transfers need to step it up imo.

Personally i would have the other guy betray to zerker if he is competent as u say he is.

it sounds like you want to betray that badly, just get it over with and tell your guild that i said zerkers are better than guards in TSO..

With the speed at which one can level a new toon from 1 to 80 these days....takes around 25 days of 4 hour a day playing if you dont completely power level...( if pl'd i've heard of people doing it in as little as 3 to 5 days ) then you may just want to consider leveling a new toon. And with the added bonus of having a mentor target through the process you can hit all the old raid zones and what not for the added AA bonus for your toon and your raid force. Just a thought .....

Betrayed last night back to Zerker. Didnt even have time to go test him or buy new masters.

If you can please post some screen shots, with maybe an explination of your CA rotation.

Thank you very much to all that have contributed thus far to this thread.

Here is what I have seen thus far right off the bat:
1) Loss of MC from Guard EoF tree, but will make it up with the MC proc on the Zerk myth, and in addition the Zerk myth has 15% DA which the Guard myth lacks.
2) CA do a lot less damage then Guard, as they can spec their single target damage CAs for increased MC rate and increased damage.
3) Loss of HP, almost 2K, 1K from Guard Self Buff, 400 HP from Guard only TSO Fabled gear, and then I am trying to figure out where the other 600 HPs went.
4) Huge loss is the 15% strikethrough ability from Guard TSO tree, but obviously gained the ability with a Zerk for massive AOE control. It balances out.

You also lost the guardians stamina self buff but i would assume your self buffed stamina is already retardedly high like every other tank so that isnt it.....did you have the set bonus HP from the gear as well?
