Default Rule of thumb for Melee timing

Im approaching 80 on my zerker and getting ready to start raiding. I have always raided with a necro so i never had to worry about timing melee hits with CAs. Whats the rule of thumb for doing this for max damage. ATM i spam my CAs when tanking groups with friends to build aggro and just spam my CAs when i dps.

Do you hit a CA then melee hit a couple time before your next CA? How exactly does this work to max your DPS potential. Thanks ahead of time for any help you folks may have on this.!

Rule of thumb: Never let your CAs delay your auto-attack.

If you use ProfitUI, use the Auto Attack Bar to help you time your attacks.

Use a CA or 2 (depending on what your actual delay is) and let the autoattack hit, then CA or 2 again, then autoattach hit etc etc etc. Like Xalmat mentioned, try to get as little delay on you autoattack by your CA's as you can

1 in between each attack. 2 is a bad idea cause youll end up loosing an auto attack and we dont really have enough CA's to continually do 2 each time.
1 each beep is perfect.

You should set your parse to ding when you hit with an auto attack and don't use the auto attack bar. This way, you use your listen skills to time it and you can keep your spot skill for something else :p

With time, you'l understand that timing your autoattack is rythmic as a zerk (since we almost always have same weapon delay with our high haste).

Well, since im on runnyeye, wich means EU while the actual server is in US, I kinda need the auto-attack bar, since my ACT beep is .2-.3 second delayed, wich means I can't use all of my AoE's with the beep only.

And correct victer, but if you're haste isnt that good (100 or less) you can easely get 2 CA's in. I know we dont have enough to keep that going, but it will increase you're dps generally speaking

You can also get the autoattack bar by itself in eq2i instead of getting a whole interface.

Get the double/single attack add-on. Download it, activate it and set it up for both double as single attacks.
