On thing that i see right off the bat is that your furious assult and rampaging blows are really low. Im curious if you use destruction/open wounds even on non multimob encounters. Also are you in offensive stance all the time? Seems like maybe you flip back and forth because i generally get double the DPS from mine that you are seeing at the same hit% for auto attack.

Would also reccomend your dirge running tombs calm, that will add atleast another 50+ DPS to your ZW. Also seems like your primary weapon is holding you back alot. My crush alone usually yields about 1k DPS.

For now what i would reccomend is more spamage of destruction/openwounds/juggernaut as well as using bind wound before combat. Different group setup, an assasin actually adds the most DPS for me with app poision then anything else as well as giving me active haste transfer vs passive.

Once i get more info i could sugest a few more changes, but thats all for now

Ok here goes Skel, Normally i used to run Offensive ALL The time (when i had the wis line final), now that i dont have the wis line anymore, i get hit harder (i dont care if anyone says its not a big deal to them, it is to me when i'm spiking all over the place damage wise, its the only reason i'm still contemplating going back to the stupid wis line) ...

I dont know about Tombs Calm (never asked, and dont know too much about dirges) but i'll ask em to.

I use Destruction and Open Wounds purdy often, i use em on nameds and i try to space everything out ... i do use them on solo trash but i try to make sure that at least one is used every aoe fight. I use bind wounds before fights when its up (a tip i learned here from someone in a PM)... but if the assassin would be better, we can go back to using an assassin i'm sure (it was mostly my whining that got me the coercer!), hates not a problem with either really.

I dont flip back and forth with offensive nearly as much as i should, i'm going to try and do some more of that once i'm back in action (our defiler is on vacation, and no other shaman seem to be coming to raids so i gotta rock my mystic in the MT group with our guardian).

But the weapon might be sucking, we just havent seen much good drop. I mean we had the vorpal blade drop once and i let a scout get it, we had chel draks shard drop i let a scout get that, but thats it really, i got the serrated sword of retribution but it hasnt yielded as good DPS as the lyceum sword.

We still havent finished MMiS (who knows, maybe tonight!), but i dont know really 'what weapons' i should be like waiting for. I know Clearcutter, but i thought the hammer from MMiS wasnt the best in my hands, and theres also like one from EH i think but we havent gotten past the first floor (last night we had the stupid tender down to 3%...damn lack of a inquis and memwipe with an AOE right after).

I'm gunna move the stances on my bars though and try to flip back and forth more with those and see if i can get some good results, i know i could do better with that i just have a tendancy of forgetting to switch back to defensive before pulls. If anyone else has any input please lemme know, cause i'm kinda lost.

Here is my last FTH run if you want to compare to someone. I'm also using a Vilucidae's Sword of Shielding.




Total time in-combat was 31m49s. One of the differences I see is how often you're using your combat arts. For example, I used Breach 107 times. You used it 51 times. Unless your total in-combat time was half of mine, you should be using it more. Some of your other CA's are the same way.

Another difference is Blade Chime. Your dirge should be casting that everytime it is up (1m recast). You'll get extra haste and the extra damage. (Crypt's Revenge is the Tomb's Calm spell previously mentioned)

For your autoattack damage, the major difference I see is accuracy. You had about 69% where mine was about 75%. This is definately something your offensive stance can help with. The number of swings is different but I still don't know what your total time in was. Also a dirge casting CoB more often will definately give you more swings.

Its somewhere in the neighborhood of 36m (zonewide posted on the first page of this thread) ... as for Bladechime, while i would love that more, i uh can only ask (although he says he throws it up whenever its up and has a nifty macro) ... as for breach, yeah its one the only CA's i dont like ... plus its only ad3, but if it will up my dps i always figured autoattack was better and it wasnt even worth much...i'll put it back in the rotation. I talked to the dirge about tombs calm and he said he'll run it in place of the hate buff i guess (he threw out some name and i was like "um...k") ...anyway back to raiding (i'm healing, so its a lil easier than when im tanking ;-) )

I would have to say that your auto attack is where you are really missing out on, you are down atleast 200-400 DPS there. Be it from lack of constant CoB or hit %... that is where you really need to look for improvement.

What is your AA setup BTW?

yeah think you just need to use a low level def stance if you do want to tank in def, have your dirge optimise, and swap to offensive when you can.

His average autoattack hit is around the same damage as mine (1248 vs 1254, pretty close, and could have gone either way depending on the RNG). He's just missing more, and has a fewer less swings. In the "Where does your damage come from?" thread, my hit rate was around 66%, and my autoattack was about 600 ext dps.

One of the biggest problems for me was no one was debuffing the mob. It would hit like a truck (causing you to go defensive) and be much harder to hit.

Yeah see thats the thing, I really dont know what other people are doing/not doing ... I know 'some' things, and things about 'some' classes but not all. I mostly dont know much about classes i dont have an alt of (Mystic, Ranger, Monk and a crappy warlock whos in the 20s), so i dont know whos not doing what debuff and i didnt know what buffs from a Dirge i should/shouldnt have ... only recently have i kinda plateau'ed, and now i want to get better/higher numbers.

I never thought of that about a lower level defensive stance either Skel, damn though ... it kinda makes me sad that i have my M1 defensive stance. But flipping back and forth more will help too, i cant wait to try and start doing that more (as well as using the stupid Breach CA more...damn i gotta rearrange my hotbars big time).

But Aralas to answer your question, no i dont have the Werewolf master strike...Nektulos is under populated and underfarmed, so like the pieces cost a ton (and i'm far from rich but like a plat or so per piece makes me angry, and i dont have too much time besides raiding during the week to go farm it cause of RL commitment and our raiding schedule..but im prolly just gunna buy them and take whatever hit it is financially if i don't get em before this weekend).

Thanks guys, ok so to summerize the things i need to do (that i dont already), basically is this ...
1) Use Breach more, it actually helps
2) Flip stances more often, but use a LOWER Level Defensive stance (cause i guess it penalizes less)
3) Get the stupid werewolf master strike (I have almost every other one, at least all the 'biggies'...might not have like Siren finished yet, and i think another)
4) Have the Dirge run "Power regen, DPS, tombs, hate, and stoneskin." and not whatever it was he had running

(i think he had the str/agi instead of tombs but that was my fault for not knowing tombs and when he asked if he should have his str/agi buff i said yeah...he's a new dirge, its like his 4th level 70 and he only did it cause our other dirge 'retired' to the bazaar)

Anyway, thanks guys and if ya got any other suguestions/thoughts they are welcome.
