Default Ideas for RoK Epic

My general focus at the moment is Epic Weapon designs, so I've been spending some time trolling the class forums looking at suggestions (They seem to have a higher signal-to-noise ratio, so I won't bother asking anyone to reply in this thread). If the class mods want to sticky a thread in each section, it would make my life a lot easier...thanks!

And if your class doesn't already have a thread...stop slacking...

Basically hes looking for suggestions for all classes so please post what you think would make a good epic Item/Weapon for berserkers, even go into graphical design if you have one you think would be good.

Ok for starters I dont want SoE to go the route thats most expected, I dont want to see a 2 handed axe that is basically copy/paste Unending Axe of War, that would seriously dissapoint me.

Now I would suggest a really nice 1 hander , you can make it an axe if you wish would like to see stats with proper allignment to the current expansion , make a decent delay between 2.5-4 secs and a good ratio for dmg spread, also would expect to see + to slashing and maybe another decent addition like the new Soulfire line. I havent had much time to think of a great effect but some that come to mind related to the class would be.

Enraged: 2.4ppm effect lasting 10-15sec
Increase Crit chance 15%
Increase DPS/Haste by 15-25
(something else)

Onsalaught Rage: 2.4ppm
On a successful attack this will trigger Onsalaught Rage on target
allowing 5 triggers to proc 500+ dmg on all targets in an encounter.
(similar to our Rampage line) - also being just a a dmg proc is kinda bland
so adding something else would be awesome.

I just kinda came up with these spur of the moment but depending on difficulty of risk vs reward its hard to come up with something I feel is fair. Maybe Archonix could explain the difficulty level in which this item will be to attain, like is it something ALL would have or is it something that would take weeks upon months of the hardest level of raiding?

Edit: PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GAMING DO NOT GIVE US + REGEN TO ANYTHING!

Zerker epics need to be like... dual wielders.

They'd look like the weapons the beastlords had in eq1.

The main hand would proc some sort of flurry attack.

The off hander would have some sort of effect that would be similiar to visions of madness, except with like a 30 minute reuse. (think the scout deagro ring from the throne room).

Also randomly they'd force the zerker to emote something like "bring on the pain" or a random wolverine (x-men) qoute.

that screams zerker to me!

Seriously tho, i would like to see something semi EQ1 style where we could morph a 1 hander into a 2 hander. I know that vast majority of us use 1 handers but it would make the entire zerker community happy as a whole. Considering the changes comming with LU 37 a berserker could use his epic in any spec he wanted, 1 hander, dw and 2 hander.

It should also reflect what the berserker is all about, AE damage. Something i thought would be really cool is to have the standard AE proc but also have a clickie GROUPWIDE destruction type effect. This of course would have a decent reuse on it, 10 minutes or so.

Basicly the same stuff psykil said but a little different. Oh and make it look big... none of this small gladius shit.

Personally I would like to see a 2hander, when I think of a berserker I think of a big weapon weilding badass who takes huge swings and takes out like 10 targets at a time. I would like to see something along the lines of either EQ1 Epic 2.0 or the Warrior 2handed version of Epic 1.0. For the proc, something with like an encounter AE proc or like skel said a clickable group destruct for the group, along the lines of a battelcry.

A 2 hander that can also be switched to a 1h. Maybe a 10% chance for your auto attack to attack multiple targets. Or like skel said a destruction proc would also be nice. But if they make it really good it betetr be fuk as hard to get imo.

i thought about the AE auto attack but that could make it less desirable in some situations... so i was going more towards the AE encounter proc

berserker are supposed to be relentless fighter that never stop swinging their weapon until they dont have anything in line of sight ignoring injuries, i d say we need a stone skin proc. at least a 3 sec delay on the weapon.
i like the idea of the weapon giving a nice high chance of having PBAOE melee autoattack (about the same as hurricane).
as long as the weapon doesnt give us some shit regen like psykil said i ll be at least "happy".
i dont really want to see the gap between guard and zerker increase so dont make the weapon a DPS only stuff just have it be nice for tanking too (survability plz)

But then the weapon wouldnt be universally good for zerkers. Not all zerkers need/want defensive procs/stats but ALL zerkers need/want more DPS. Let the shields and armor protect us, and let out weapon be our source of DPS. Also keep in mind that the majority of our damage comes from auto attack so the more offensive a weapon is the more we benefit from it.

yeah, you re right, i meant that i dont want to see the general direction of the zerker class heading to only DPS and offtanking.
i know that our auto attack is a huge part of our DPS, but having the weapon proc a stone skin as well as having some PBAOE or Encounter dmg proc wont hurt us too much?
