    Default question on Zerker and OTing in Raids

    I have seen several Tank AA specs and DPS specs and what not but I was wondering if anyone might have a solid AA spec for OTing in Raids ( SS content of course) Gear is a mixture of Raid, instance and SS faction. Would like to maximize survivability as much as possible, and the other question I have is I know MA is very important but what really how much Attack Speed should you have. I have heard really anything above 200 for a zerker is kind of a waste, and what about the DPS mod. Is it safe to reforge DPS mod and attack speed if you are over 200? Sorry for all the questions.

    EQ2U - Alternate Advancements for Bewrath gear (not the best by any means but play on n00bport, also switch flurry/mit gear when soloing) and AA spec

    that's what i roll with. Also, i would say one of the biggest zerk fails some people do is not utilize 'gut roar' (get knocked away from healers=invaluable or spike dmg if you're quick) in the berserker middle tab and the agility end line ability 'dragoon reflexes'. I recently removed the +8s to gain +4% mit from the wis line and i'm sort of indifferent about it; that extra 8 seconds can save raids especially if you pop insolence RIGHT before it: AoE snap aggro+updated aggro+immune to physical for 20s(12s w/o points) = godsend.


    Reforging: Get 600% MA and STOP, i did this by sacrificing dps for the simple reason anytime you're in a group, much less raid, your deeps is easily over 120% and with all the shitty +9 here and +5here procs they make up for the losss so you'll NEVER NOTICE. Once there it's really up to you IMO but having 200% attk speed i think is enough because again raid buffs/procs gonna shoot you into 400's maybe. I think i went with some strikethrough and sit @ 50% when dual wielding (with experienced insight lol @ 125% ST but hey it's only 30s) but again on EM SSx4 i didn't see the need for accuracy maybe someone will flame me for it.

    I may catch some flack for this but i stand by it 100%. Casting speed! I have as many adorns as i can have in casting speed (w/o sacrificing hate gain), this makes a HUGE difference in the amount of CA's i can get off in between swings (typically 3) and very pleased with being able to get chaos AND wall of rage off in between swings. Also, another reason which i find VERY useful in raids is the ONLY epic interupt you have, Mock IX (should be grand mastered btw, less resistability) fast casting taunt with 5s re-cast. I don't give a fuck what brigands think that their interupt proc 7 times/minute on melee attacks do but it RARELY works when needed and it might not be used against epics unsure. Even in hardmode instances THIS SEPARATES good tanks from bad tanks, interupting every single fucking thing they cast, if they are getting more than 2-3 spells off per encounter (that ARE interuptable) you are failing and need to pull ur head out of ur ass, get that enemy casting bar in the middle of your screen and look @ nothing else (okay and the aggro meter occasionally). The casting speed really helps with this, literally milliseconds make a difference and the fucked up part is you'll never get recognition LOL.

    tl;dr 600MA --> ST/accuracy: ability casting speed/reuse speed: and interupt as much as possible

    thanks alot =) I really do appreciate it. I got a friend of mine who is new to the class and still learning and doing a good job, but still as most of us has improvement to do. He does a pretty good job as an OT, and he was actually kind enough to betray from guardian to zerker for us to better round up of adds and what not. I will for sure pass this on and look at your spec as well and let him know. Again thank you much and I appreciate it!

    lol at interrupts. Also, haven't had to worry about dragoon reflexes, mostly a waste to me. And reuse is king over any kind of casting speed.

    600MA, 150 DPS and haste (attack speed, if you will), strikethrough, Accuracy, then Ability mod to 1500ish, maybe 2k. If you have all that, then you can start reforging into casting speed. Reuse will come from red and yellow adorns and gear. Strikethrough would be good around 50-60 and accuracy around 35-40 in raids. Higher if you are going into HM drunder and PoW.

    I have every tank class and only not raided on a Pally. /shrug and what I use isn't specific to Monk, its basic Melee damage mechanics.Especially with a class like Berserkers, where so much damage is associated with Auto attack.

    You can look at my spec. (Elanjar) Im the backup MT/OT (normally play warden MT) in our guild. Assuming you've maxed thathe standard melee stats (MA, haste, dps) and gotten decent strikethrough, i like recovery for reforging.
