Default New to Berserker. Any Macros or general tips to keeping aggro?

I usually tank on a monk without a coercer. We do Harrow's end and Temple HM and I'm able to keep aggro pretty well. My friend said Executioner's Anger wasn't worth getting, but It looks really useful for new berserkers trying to tank without hate transfer.

Also I don't use any macros except one to switch to a shield, which so far has never been used lol

Just get your hate gain up with adorns so you are around 100% with a dirge in the group. I mostly not have a transfer these days and with the dps boost zerks got i have no problems at all when im dwing. And only to other tanks when im going defensiv. Its all about what you are trying to tank tbh. Insolens is very nice for hate. As is EI. You just need to make sure you or either standing close to your MT if you are using Insolens or far away so you dont get hte named to turn. I mostly run up to the MT (if needed and use it) Only marcos i have for anything with hate really is our 2 aoe snap aggro:s to warn the other tanks that they are getting pushed. That way they can easly keep track on that and snap back a named fast or something like that.

Other than that just max out your dps and you should be fine. If your talking about groups just spam those abilitys away tbh.

I think I remember someone telling me that insolence is probably one of the most important berserker abilities. I will start using it more. thanks for the tips !

It is. Its amazing both on aoe and singel target. The Hate proc on it is very nice. Dont forget to use EI aswell but not together ofcs. Other than that its just to try and get your dps up as much as you can. Not sure if you are just tanking heroics? If so you dont really need to use a shield. Heroic mobs this expansion hits for kinda much nothing so DW all the way and you should be fine

insolence is important but until you reliably learn the radius and mobs location (through walls/above/below) it can/will get you into trouble; also don't forget jeering onslaught has a quicker cooldown and does effectively the same thing. Try and save it as a last resort for single targets as you obviously have tools for those.

For heroic content, if you're not interrupting with Mock you're making healers work overtime. Also on that note, be sure you grab 'gut roar' in your berserker tree; 3s means a lot to healers or yourself to pop battlefrenzy/adrenaline/dragoon reflexes/new hawt death save/troll 1-9.

Jeering is not the same thing. As Insolens proc a ecnounter taunt when you get hit for a short duration after. If you did not lose the aggro on aoe jeering will do kinda much the same as any give aoe you have. i tank heroics in Reckless and have tanked every heroic zone in this stance with a singel healer. The mobs dont really hit that hard. And berserker heals or abit OP for heroic cont now since they hit for kinda much nothing. I also never use mock. But thats personal taste i guess.

I just tanked HM Venekor with 80% crit chance (before wrath) and we only had one healer. It went really well and we did succeed without wiping at all. I had a raid healer (normal mode gear or worse) and a raid dps and I only lost aggro once and that was probably my fault since I had to dual box the 6th person in our group due to lack of interest in grouping.

I look forward to upgrading the weapons with some steward gear and really unleashing some damage in the future.

This is my heroic tanking spec. I tweaked it a little because my gear is so much lower than the people I group with who are raiding twice a week.

Get the defensiv side of the prestige tree imo. For the fun reason you both get more defensiv and do more dps with that side. You will lose some utility thats true. But over all the defensiv side is better. Weapon damage bonus klickie effect and pot into cb is amazing imo Im also not a fan of the wis line in the warrior tree but if you are just doing heroics it doesent matter that much

Also you are abit low on casting speed imo. Im at 100% raid buffed atm and even if we arnt the slowest casting class it still does alot for your overall dps. Can you reforge? or dident you get that expansion? if so reforge some into casting speed it will help alot

I don't see how going down the defensive line is going to up your dps... you lose Utter Destruction... you lose the reset on Rampage... you lose saga.. which has a recast of 5 seconds when you cap reuse. I'm at 96.1% reuse self buffed these days post procs.... Also, Saga hits decently hard.. around 260-300k top end in reckless.

And cast speed... I'm capped... and I didn't reforge into it... it's not needed. There are adorns for that.

The wis line is useful for removing penalties from WoR, d-stance and o-stance. The 500 something phys mit is also decent... the dps mod is meh... the CA only works against heroic and solo mobs for the most part.

If anything you're going to have an issue with aggro on mobs on inc.. once you get to them and start hitting them they should stick.. on inc your bow attack might not flurry and someone else might. Btw if you don't use dragon bone arrows at this point you're doing it wrong.

If you don't run ACT you might consider doing so... check what your hit rates look like... then start considering weapon skill adorns on feet/chest and doing some reforges for strikethrough and accuracy.

For most content if you are tanking you should be fine in reckless with no hate buffs.. but take the coercer one for the 10 pot. If in raid your hate generation becomes an issue call for a chanter to sever hate your ass, but not if you are tanking adds atm.. you don't want to lose the adds.. it's easier for the MT to just snap the named.

P.S. if you can't figure out the mechanics of the class or mobs just keep saying that the class is only worth a damn as an instance tank and leave it at that. Don't go trying to get SOE to change my shit because you don't get it... you'll just get the class another nerf for me to have to work around. If you can't figure out how to play the toon you probably shouldn't be giving ignorant feedback on official forums. (That means you Tally-pooh! just keep doing what you're good at.. using 2 HUGE hotbars while you shovel mac & cheese into your throat hole.)
