Spell Consolidation Thread

My candidates:

1. Combine Sideswipe and Shrouded Blade and I'd "accept" either all-aspect or flanking/rear for the combination - doesn't matter to me. (The need to control our frontal DPS may get in the way of this, dunno.) It's also possible to throw Ruckus in here, in which case the HO icon should probably be "coin".

2. Combine Disembowel and Stab.

3. Combine Deceitfulness and Ruthless Cunning.

4. Combine Hardened and Amazing Reflexes and add them to BOTH Dauntless Advance and . . . what's the name of that other stance? . . . oh, yeah, Ruffian

The first three would take 3 icons off our hotbars, and save 9 to 14 CA casts per minute (if I did the math right lol), improving DPS and the effectiveness of our 5-minute buffs slightly. It would also remove a couple of icons from the mob's list of effects.

Number 4 takes another two icons off our Hotbars.

Erm...personally...I kinda like all the icons on my hotbar. If I wanted less buttons to push, I'd go back to playing my berserker.

Secure+Ruckus; that would work well. Deceitfulness and Ruthless Cunning; sure. Even combining some of our buffs wouldn't be bad. But our damage CAs don't need to be touched. They're fine. Let's not try to fix what's not broken, shall we?

Me being okey with merging CA's is more worries about how much CA's we will have one day if they DONT do something about it. With new expansion and new abilities, new AA's some day and what else abilities we get, this will be needed sooner or later.

Even right now I have our dots in a macro, as well as revoke + secure and shrouded + ruckus, just to free up hotbar slots. Being very reluctant to mouseclick stuff during a fight, I only have 21 slots that feels comfortable keyboardclicking. That gets jampacked pretty fast.

I like clicking all my CAs and I feel like I'm slacking if I'm not doing so.

I like Deceitfulness and Ruthless Cunning on seperate buttons, because sometimes I prefer to use them seperately to maintain DPS through a couple encounters. I guess it wouldn't make a huge difference to gameplay, but...it's an option I like to have sometimes. Sometimes something procs more Haste or DPS and I only cast 1 of those buffs to add to whichever stat I could use more at the moment, lower on the returns curve.

If Ruckus could be combined with something, maybe add it to our "Blow" stun line?

because it would take me all the fun to play my class i love everything on the brigand like it is

Are you kidding me? "Dirty Blow" was my favorite CA skill name in game for a while. It always reminded me of something a Pornstar would be doing. I always thought the upgrade to that should've been, "Sloppy Blow."
