I have a 30 assassin atm, and i like him. I've heard brigands are good also and I'm just wondering a few things.

1. How does their damage compare?

2. What are the main differences?

3. Can one solo better than the other?

Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

I think there are generally accepted brigand answers for your questions.

1.) Assassins do more damage.
2.) Assassins do damage, Brigands debuff (make it easier for other people to damage the mob)
3.) Yes. Although the answer is very debatable.

assassin is pure dps. brigand do dps while he cripples the mob's defense.

concealment is sweet yeah but its better if youre not the one getting hit, not to mention most of an assassin's best skills are in invis

So, you're asking the Brigand community if you should play a Brigand or an Assassin? You know what you're going to get from that spectrum of players.

Assassins have potential for awesome DPS; the problem is that they are probably one of the trickier classes to maximize potential. Keeping your stealth chain going while soloing can be challenging for some.

Brigands solo well due to stuns, directional roots, and mitagation debuffs. No worry about stealthing for big attacks, but there are no big attacks. Both classes can do well soloing, but different approaches.

If you can actually play the assassin class well, then they're a lot of fun. I have a mini assassin I got up to level 20 or so, and it was pretty amusing because he's a lot different from the brig, but I could see where people would have a hard time with the class and maximizing the potential.

But yeah, I love my brig and there's no way I'm choosing an assassin over him. Period. There is no build an assassin can have to rival the uberness of my STA-INT Honor Among Theives/Malicious Assault build.
