Re: AE timer issues
Do you go in and debuff the mob during the grove beast encounter?
And making sure that i'm not stuck there require safe house to be up and have an extra potion up just in case.
If it really hits the fan i can use one of 2 signets, one will unstifle or stun and one is an ae immune.

Re: AE timer issues
We run Guard, Temp, Defiler, Dirge, Coercer and Swash in MT group. The MT swash keeps wuoshi swiped. The only time I or our other swash swipes wuoshi is if the MT swash goes down for some reason and never when we are dealing with a beast.
IMO the brigs place is on beast due to defensive debuffs. The faster you can get that beast down the better. If you play a secondary brig role, then dps your ass off on the beast and double the dispatch lovin.

You misinterpreted what I meant by effected or I explained it poorly.
If you had swipe up on an AE(s) and die you will more than likely fuck up the timer.
Example I cast swipe before the touch on mayong and then get soul'd and then 7 seconds later I get pwnd by blanket, the timer for soul and touch would get fucked up and hit early, at least in my expereince.

No, the brigands are on the grovebeast keeping it debuffed, and killing it as fast as they can. We go without swipe during that time.
The arcane is unpredictable. You never know how many times you're going to get hit with it in a row, or if you if you're going to get hit right before Rage and Fury. Then you're arcaned, poisoned, and knocked away from anyone that can cure while you heal Wuoshi and die at the same time. The ae avoid signets take a lot of power, and power conservation is a bit of an issue on that fight.

Jon if you guys haven't killed Wuoshi yet, you are better served keeping the Warden in the Main Tank group.
I used to always joust, in and out of him (unless I was confidant in my ability to keep AR up) - until the Beast spawned. Then depending on the swipe timer, a rogue would normally stay there and swipe it (of course every rogue had TS - and we ran with 2 of each most of the time). Our debuffs are best served on just burning the beast down, mainly because the less time he is alive, the less of a chance you have of him porting over and aggroing the MT group.

Re: AE timer issues
to Pantz, aggree with you fully! We got the same understanding of swipe! Bad interpretaion on my side i guess - no one argues with the Pantz
Bout Wuoshi, he can be a a joke or a nightmare at times, I have had it that I just staied on him form 25% -> 0 (so when the 2nd Grovebeat spawned), and had no problems and got my AR perfectly down to even avoid the darn arcanes!
But these arcane stuns are Hell, very unpredictable and you can't cure them urself!!! So it always a High gamble ... and I wouldn't risk it if I'm the only brig on the raid, then you want to joust for sure imho

Re: AE timer issues
Well, the doesn't do much damage but the combination of the 2 ae's are kickin our main tanks ass.
It all comes down to less relocations and less ae's therefore less damage.
I honestly would feel more comfortable with a swashie in the MT group than the warden.
We had the first grove beast down under half both times last night and the MT group wiped both times. Due to AE's.
Last time we got woushi down to 35% ish there was a rouge on him extending his timers and lowering his offensive abilities.

Re: AE timer issues
Our normal MT group setup is Pally, Defiler, Templar, Warden, Dirge, Swash, with the pally having amends on the swash. Though I really wouldn't advise the use of a pally unless you have one who's really pretty awesome, the group seems to work pretty well for us.
