Default Brigands or wizard for high end soloing?

Hey everyone; new brig here wondering if I should keep leveling, or if I should roll a wizard for soloing names at the higher levels.

Raiding is out because my system simply can't take the lag. Groups are iffy, but always a possibility. What I want is a character I know can solo names as a extra way to earn cash and to have things to do.

Wizards seem like they do it better, but just how much better than a brig? Enough to reroll (only 21 now anyways, so no biggie) a new class? I really love what little I've played my brig, a lot, but am practical enough to want a class that meets more of my play style at higher levels.

Yeah, generally a wizard is better I guess.

Brigands are often limited to soloing single mobs, while a wizard has the controlspells to handle multimob encounters more easily (I think, encounter root?).

About 95% of all farmers cant be wrong, wizard/summoner is the way to go!

Brawlers are also good soloers. But, if ya want the easiest class to solo, then I think a summoner is your best bet (I have limited play as a conjy and a necro and necros seem to be better[at least at soloing]).

Thanks for the responses. I think I'm going to just level both up together and see what it's like at the higher levels. My brig is just too fun to stop playing him for now if only for the sweet sound of pick pocket.

First off, from what I've heard so far, most of the instances with named in them aren't going to be very soloable due to lil tricks soe threw into the encounters where you need to have peeps click on this or that during the fight, etc.

If you have any "spell lag" (extended delays between abilities being casted) due to your machine not being ubbah, you won't do well with a brig IMHO.

Brigs rely on throwing a ton of dps at a mob in a very short amount of time while they are stunned. My brig does fine vs. most named mobs until I get some lag, then I'm sure to die. Wizards on the other hand won't be effected so much by the lag because they don't have a very vital time frame to get specific CA's off.

at L70 i could absolutely tear apart any single ^^^, either through a direct CA flurry while stunlocked (blues), or a combo of that with snare kiting until CA's refreshed (yellows)

however, the ^^^'s in ROK, especially the nameds, are a lot beefier. more hp, higher relative autoattack dmg, and some nasty spell/AE tricks. you won't be burning straight through them anymore. (however, if you can find a decent healer to duo with you can still do most of em)
