Well of course on so short a fight the difference between an autoattack going off and not will be huge, though I find 2k hard to believe. I mean, you only have room for 8-9 rounds of them in there (assuming 2 4s delay weapons)... missing one single round of autoattacks in there with anywhere from 2500-4k damage per hit x1-4 = huge damage over 20 seconds.

Autoattack was 46% of my overall DPS in that 20 second as opposed to the 50% autoattack accounts for zonewide.

Omfg, my guild did 110k dps on the same mob this week (True story btw). We're so fucking leet and you suck.

Seriously, who cares about spike dps on 20 sec fights? The parse isn't impressive at all.

You don't parse 7k once in a blue moon cause of your auto-attack timing. What most of us care about is zonewides anyway. 5k zonewide in temple isnt a problem at all. Show us your 7k parse.

*chuckles*

IF I came here to impress anybody, I'd most likely pull out my 16 inch penis and beat the living shit out of them with it.

You will miss a lot of auto attacks if you just spam CA's which is the majority of your DPS as a Brigand. I could hit the buttons as fast and I possibly could and would only parse like 3k because my auto attack was skipped the majority of the time, with the occasional lucky hit in between spams.

Dakis

Skipped is different than delayed, and the delay is always less than 1 second (unless you blue ae)

No, but his point is valid, if you delay it by 1s 2.4 times, you've effectively "missed" a swing over the course of the fight. The best option is to get into a rhythm. ca ca very slight pause ca ca very slight pause ca ca very slight pause, etc, or 3 per depending on your casting speed.

Again, unless of course you are about to double up, where you shouldn't even think of pausing!

I fully agree with this, and find it has a noticeable effect on my zws
