you can intercede on a ward, as intercede trips first (after all avoidance checks). lowers tank's incoming damage by 50%, stoneskin falls here i think, then mitigation kicks in, then wards will do their thing.

What I meant is you take no damage when you intercede a ward and no power!!

that only applies if YOU have the ward on. and since i dropped literally all my power proc stuff and never use mental breach, having a shaman maintain group wards kills my ability to regain power. i love alacrity, but hate having to struggle for power against wards =(
