What is the General Roll of Brigand Later in the Game?
I just started one, and gotta say, its damn fun so far.
I am only L10, but I am sure this ones a keeper (iskar brigand)
its definatly different then my assassin, so that keeps things interesting.
but, I really cant say I know much about this class, as a tank, I have rarely grouped with brigands, as theres just never really one around. so I really dont know much about them.
so my question is, in groups, what does the roll of a brigand tend to be, other then DPS alone?

I vote increase group/raid DPS and vie for top spot in DPS in a raid for most guilds. Only ones a brig would top parses would be in top end guilds (by top end i mean people doing 10K consistently)

Re: What is the General Roll of Brigand Later in the Game?
First and foremost, debuffing the mob so the raid does more damage. I cannot confirm this, but someone once said that a single brigand makes up for about 25% of raid-wide damage (since everyone else hits more often and hits much harder). Again, don't quote ME on that. About 4 or 5% of that damage would be the Brigand's alone...if you can parse well.
Secondary role is DPS. You'll never compete with a decent assassin who's got comparable gear (ie. overpowered mythical), but you should be able to maintain a decent spot on the parse.
Tertiary role is saving people's asses and helping out healers. If you have the intercede from the Brigand tree (I know you're level 10 but you get my point), use it on the MT every time it's up. I personally feel this ability is priceless (it can also regen massive amounts of power). Our ability to take hits is great in a pinch (ie. MT goes down on a Vyx mob in PR because someone forgot their death prevent, or an add on Nexona warps to your raid part while fighting another add and you need to pull it off of MT healers and bring it ot the OT, etc.). Appeal for Mercy will also make healers and squishy little mages love you.

intercept still doesnt work with a shaman having a ward up in your group but yea its golden at times to have it
the intercept also still doesnt do what the description says u take the full dmg ur target would recieve
yea debuffing mob defense is the primary job always drop mitigation debuffs first but it takes 55 levels to get the three biggest debuffs

Re: What is the General Roll of Brigand Later in the Game?
You can also use intercede on other players who take damage during AE's if you need the power replenishment. Good one might be scout who is aggro whore mage on an AoE or the OT who does not get as many wards. I feel a brig should eb able to maintain DPS to be in top 6 on a parse. Coercer-Assassisn-Conjy and swashy oh and wizard only ones that should beat ya.
