Positional Mastery is such an Assassin AA, they should add that into the Assassin tree and give Brigands an upgrade to... Thieves Guild!

I think they want rogues to become tanks. LOL
Look at all those defensive bonuses throughout, thats messed up.

The class specific specials, in general, are rather balanced though I think. (yeah, some are a bit better than others, but nothing overwhelming)

A quick summary: (damage amounts may be off, because the guy taking screenshots had lvl 1 toon in some cases, not in others).


Assassin:
Stealth Mastery:

Improves Damage and Crit of all Stealth Attacks by 10%.
Improves Damage of Fatal Followup by 10%.

Touch of the Nightshade:
45 sec recast. Inflicts 2201-3183 damage, heals caster for 1769-2654.

Ranger:
Ranged Mastery:

Improves Damage and Crits of Ranged CAs by 10%.

Explosive Arrow:
Recast 45 sec. Inflicts 1474-1802 Heat Damage on target.

Swashie:
Precision Striking:
Improves damage and crits of all CAs with 30sec or longer recast.

Shifting Hatred:
Duration 15 sec, Recast 5 min.
Inflict 744-1116 damage.
When target takes damage from melee weapon, it will raise the attackers hate position by 4 if they are a fighter. Will trigger a total of 5 times.


Brig:
Positional Mastery:
All back attacks increase damage and crit bonus by 15%.
All attacks with multiple position allowances gain a 5% bonus.

Thieving Essense:
30sec duration, 1min recast.

Inflict 738-902 damage.
Decrease melee and spell damage of target by 123.
Increase melee and spell damage of group by 123.


Dirge:
Dual Wield Mastery:
Increases Autoattack and autoattack crit damage.

Battlecry:
Group Friend buff.
5% Flurry proc, 15% Melee and Ranged Double Attack.

Troub:
Lyrical Mastery:
Increase Damage and crit bonus of all spells by 10%.


Upbeat Tempo:
Group Friend buff:
Adds additional 2 ticks to every CA or Spell based DoT attack.



All in all.
Will be a fight for scouts for the dirge Battle Cry. lol
Swashies will be called "non-MT-Tank-Killers" from now on.
Our new CA is nothing special. +123 CA/Spell damage. exciting, heh.
But assassin/range special CAs are nothing special either.

The predator special, on the otherhand, is a freaking sweet debuff, and IMO fits better with Rogues not Preds, since we are debuff specialist and they are just damage bitches. Meanwhile, the Rogue special AA is pretty worthless for raids.. but great if you like soloing/tanking! LOL

From what I understand aa's are only increased to 200. (based upon what developers stated in the open somewhere, i can't remember).

I don't know how much aa each of these cost, but i doubt we can get the defensive shit and offensive shit. were going to have to choose.

Also, brigs have always been the most defensive scout... and to be honest, i like it. and other casual brigs will appreciate the extra mit/tanking that he aa's provide. Hell, my tanking spec is going to be WTF Awesome more so than what it is currently.

Also, swashies just need to macro their 'ulti' and other fighters will learn to stop attacking for 2 seconds or face possible death/ be ready to tank the GD mob! I dislike tanks in the raid that are there for 'dps' and can't switch to tanking.

We get something to increase our damage and you say it should be on assassins? That comment should be thrown in a fire!

BTW isn't the defense debuff way far far far beyond capped on mobs as is? Like everyone has a fucking defense debuff, yet we can add it to Dispatched? lmfao

my thoughts...

Scout

I have no issues with this line. Shouldn't be overpowering or spectacular and it isn't. Pretty balanced and caters to all types of brigand.

Rogue

Rogue's Flurry, Circle of Blades, and Poison Mastery are all fine. Leave as is.

Taunting Blows – We are not tanks. We are not tanks. We are not tanks. Regardless if we can tank or not, it is not our role to do so in groups or raids. This is a waste of a spot.

Enhance: Stay low – Swashbucklers have a feed, and a brigand who knows their class enough doesn't need this AA. It won't be picked.

Battle Endurance – this AA is practically worthless. The HP gain is so minimal that it will do the rogue no good. Not only that but the def stance is used so rarely by a rogue as it is that it's not worth making it an AA to improve. Tanking rogues can tank in offensive stance and should. If you want to make this an AA and a spell brigands may use I suggest removing the STA buff and give it a straight additional +100 hp buff per point spent

Glancing blows – I understand the purpose of this spell with the combat changes. It will be an AA however that is only used in certain mirror specs for difficult mobs for most rogues. However it is only a 10% decrease for 20 seconds… that is not worth spending AAs to get it. Make it permanent and leave it 10% or make it 40-60% short term.

Suggestions for replacements

1. Ruthless Cunning – Decrease reuse time of Ruthless cunning by 6 seconds a point

2. Add a damage component to the def reduction CA

3. Add a debuff or damage component of some kind to snares

Brigand

Distracting Weapon , Positional Mastery, Thieving Essence– no problems

Poisoned Blade – No one should take this with the other choices. If you want people to think hard about it increase the reductions by much larger numbers

Rugged Shielding – No one will use this but if you are catering to the solo and tanking brigs here then I guess more power to you. No raiding or dpsing brigand or debuffing brigand wastes points on this with the other things in this tree

Dispatch Defense – I have a feeling that DEF removal is going to have a much greater effect this expansion that it has in the past so I hope this is worth while. I also wouldn't mind position removal .

Hired mercenary – if you are going to add 2 more you could at least give them a % chance to cast assassinate…

Suggestions for replacements

1. Reduce reuse time of Deceitfulness line by 6 seconds per point

2. Give dispatch or enfeeblement a 5% chance per point to effect multiple targets in area of effect

3. Increase the DOT durations on either dot by 3 seconds per point

4. Give us a hate feed

5. Give amazing reflexes a 10% chance per point not to be removed on damage shields

6. Give traumatic swipe 3% per point chance more to hit bonus

Nice feedback Pantz. Giving the amazing reflexes a 10% chance to not be removed on damage shields entirely depends on mobs in the expansion. If there are enough it would be very helpful. I would absolutely love a hate feed on our class, although I don't see it happening. I am very skeptical over the DEF debuff on Dispatched but like you said, if it plays a bigger role now then it has in the past.....awesome. I like casting my thugs when I'm bored but I dont really see much dps from them, I wonder if adding more will even do anything. I would like to see damage components on Holdup and our Roughen.

I do not understand why they would be giving us tanking abilities. Yes yes I remember the armor mob in MMIS, but even then you didn't need a tank spec. Just dps and hold the mob and if your healers don't absolutely suck ass, you win. So unless they throw a very hard hitting scout tank mob in, there is just no point at all. Thieving essence seems like more of another timed debuff for aoe's, which would be nice to see Traumatic swipe chance to hit upped. It will especially matter on the mobs levels in the new expansion(resist rates and what not).

even if theres one hard hitting mob in tso that can only be tanked by a scout i give a fucking damn about it
we are not taniks we dont want to be tanks , theres 6 tanks in the game who can do that

and the casual/tanking brigand doesnt need that much of a boost to tankability
they can do just fine with what we currently have , hell you dont even need to spec the dfensive crap to be able to tank

we are 1st debuffers 2nd dpsers improve those areas
we lack in the aoe department either give us massive aoe debuff cabaility or give us aoe dps
and omfg give us dual wield mastery that should be a Rouge tree AA endability
first Assassins get flurry now dirges get more auto base/crit dmg wtf ?

hired mercenary enahnce is a horrible idea the spell itself is a joke
