I think the broken toe blocker is your best bet, excluding raiding ones

I thought I had seen somewhere broken toe blocker is better than the vp ones because of what it gives? Maybe not, but either way it is best if you are not raiding. I personally use it for pvp, and going from the mastercrafted one to the broken toe blocker is maybe a 40% noticable survivability increase.

The Wardancer one Paperclip showed is probably the best imo.
If you dont have access to that, I would use the Re2 one, and did for a while. Honestly not a huge dif. but the Extra hp is nice.

I remember seeing a Kite Shield linked in level chat that Scouts could use, it dropped out of one of the new instances, but I can't remember which one or what the name of the shield was, does anyone have any info on it?

Yeah, it also looks dumb as hell, IMO. I'm sure there's going to be a patch to remove Priests and Scouts from that. Looks like a mistake in the first place.

its being changed to a buckler with 446 protection.
Tanks that currently have the shield will be able to go to an NPC and exchange the buckler for a kite shield.

Yep, I heard about that. It's a crappy looking shield anyway, it just had some pretty awesome stats for a scout shield. C'est la vie I suppose
