Another "Help my DPS" Cry

Bear with me on this thread plz... I'm a numbers nerd, an analytical thinker, and a problem solver so the following material might get dry.

Ok... so... I know I can parse higher than I am. I know this because our other raid Brigand beats me by about 1K ExtDPS constantly, even when in same raid group. In attempting to find out why.. I noticed a few things in ACT that could explain it. His MC, CA ExtDPS, and delay are about the same as me but his AA damage is about 800 ExtDPS higher. Which to me means his Timing is better, and/or his DA/DPS Stats are better. I have asked him what his stats were but never have I gotten a response. Guess things are a bit more competitive than I realized. Anyway, I have tried different approaches to solve this riddle.

GEAR STATS

Me being a numbers kind of guy I ran through a month worth of ACT logs and different armor/stat sets to determine what would help my DPS the most. I compiled them all into an Excel sheet and came out with the following approximate ratios:

1 MC = 2.07 DA = 3.36 DPS = 18.2 CA (up to 500) = 15.6 ExtDPS

Now this was based on my raid gear and self buffs.

I used average, theoretical parses for DPS by using the formula:

For each Hand:
Min AA DPS = ((1-MC)*MinHit) + (MC*(MaxHit+1)) * (1+DA) / Delay
Max AA DPS = ((1-MC) + (Crit*1.3)) * (1+DA) * MaxHit / Delay

Now my Question is... do these ratios sound right? The numbers all work out, and I realize that they are based on averages so actual ratios will be a lil different but I am told I am on crack by many for trying to decide on gear based around the ratios.

If they are wrong I can think of only 2 things... my Autoattack formulas are wrong, or I am neglecting something like CA Cap or ease of raid getting DPS mod from raid setup.

TIMING

I have tried spamming CA's, hitting 2 CA's then pausing until I see my Clicky Macroed Hotkeys go bright again, hitting 1 CA and waiting half a second. Unfortunately I don't see much of a difference in my parses between the methods, but I have had bad lag days recently so that may throw me off.

What is the preferred method of timing CA's? I have Sailwind, my Cast + Recovery Time = .8 Seconds, and my average delay in raid is 2.6 - 3 seconds depending on group.

In case someone wonders what my self buff stats (non-raid) are:
STR: 1070
INT: 500
DPS: 43
Haste: 36
CA: 485
MC: 77
DA: 44

Yes, your waiting too long in between auto attacks.

Autoattack timer - EQ2Interface

Once the guy changes it so it updates on spell cast instead of when you enable auto attack. then it will be Golden and will update sufficiently fast enough to use it reliably as a training tool.

Also, once you get your crit high enough, double attack will net you bigger auto attack gains.

Your ear, shoulders, and ring all need replacement to compete with him effectively. Also, until you get the sash and loop, your pretty much screwed because you don't have anything to make up for that dps.

Ok so...
Ear I know and I am working on... jsut a matter of getting enough DKP to win the Dragonclaw Hoop or Annihalators Loop...

Ring I am juggling Ring of the 4 Winds, Tynn Band of Strength, Ring of Tunarian Might, and Wind Worn Ring (2 Set Bonus) on parses to find best.. atm I am debating using Ring of Tunarian Might or Wind Worn Ring for 2 Set.
Once I manage to get a Sash of Pain I will use the Ring of Dark Intent so this decision isnt one I am loosing too much sleep on.

Shoulders... what else is there?.. I have never seen a Field Commanders Mantle drop.. I do ihave the Tomb Raiders Shoulders.. would 3 Crit > 100 CA? I wouldnt loose the set bonus If i did switch em out.

My Weapon... this is where I still bear most of my confusion. I thought my BoV would be better since it is slashing, it has 4 MC, and a DoT Proc. No one else in guild uses the BoV so I know my proc won't get over ridden and I am low on MC so it helps. My other current options are Segmented Serrator, Throatripper, and Worm Tooth Blade. Would any of those be better?

The Timing I will continue to work on then... I am suer I can better that but it also sounds like my gear isnt up to the specs I thought it was, so maybe I'll do some more investigation into that end as well.
