Evasive maneuvers
I was wondering how many brigands have had the pleasure, and by pleasure i mean utter insanity, of using our new threat position deaggro Evasive Maneuvers.
at first it seems like a dream come true, a new deaggro? and it does dmg too! sweet.
but if anyone's actualy used this in groups for example, whilst they have aggro and its the only deaggro left up, the dmg completely counteracts the deaggro and your still stuck with this big ol mob whackin on ya.
well, just wanted to see what the rest of your experiences using this move have been

Re: Evasive maneuvers
Really? By the looks of it, it does the damage then deaggros, the thing is though, without a decrease in threat, it is pretty useless if you're 1st anyway, since you will only go down to 1 threat point or w/e below the 2nd position holder.
I saw it more of maintenance ability to stay below the top hate position than the "oh shit, I have aggro" ability that Hideaway is.

Re: Evasive maneuvers
yeah i guess it is more of a maintenance thing, its just a suprise when you use it for when you have aggro and... nothing changes :P
well, the 25 metre range is nice though

Re: Evasive maneuvers
The 25 meter range is definitely nice for when you're soloing by kiting & jousting and you've taken a bit too much damage and want to finish something off without getting close enough for it to finish YOU off.
Or even for a little more damage on a pull. Again, if you're soloing:
Hex of ruin -->Evasive Maneuvers -->Double Throw --> WTP --> you know the rest

Re: Evasive maneuvers
Brigands have 2 major choices imo:
1. Play with a tank who can hold aggro and doesn't suck ass.
2. Get the tank buffs and tell the 'other' tank in your grp to give you his mit buff and avoidance and intercept at times and stay the fuck out of the way

Re: Evasive maneuvers
If you watch the graphic on the attack you get the dmg off, then you hear the sound and see the little graphic go off. So I don't know if it's bugged for you or what. One position really isn't all that big anyways. Just enough to let you get another attack in, then die =)

Yeah, like I said, it should probably be used more as a maintenance thing than a "Oh crap I have aggro" and/or should be used after Baffle/Hideaway.

Re: Evasive maneuvers
Well to get this clear, you do not drop a hate position with this aa?

To sum up what others said, you do...but you "only" drop 1 position...if you're 1st and use it, you'll drop 1 threat under tank...and any dot, autoattack or anything will put you over him again.
It's more usefull to use before you overaggro as the guy with position under you may be pretty far away in aggro.
For save butt it's hideaway...evasive manoeurs is way more usefull to use it soon.

Re: Evasive maneuvers
You pretty much lose aggro until your next auto attack So 2 seconds or so for most of us (varies)
