Default WIll to survive

was lookin at this AA. i had it in beta but didnt see a signifigant difference.

it lowers the mobs MAX hp by 2%. so basically what it does is make the raid not have to dps it as long. say the mob has 2million HP, will to survive will make the mob have 1,960,000 hp (at full health)

is it really worth it?

It has it's uses, if I understand it correctly. Say the mob has 2m HP, like your example and you use it. The mob now has 1,960,000HP, until it wears off. At that time, the mob gets those HP back and if you use it again at 50% health, for example, the mob will go from 1,000,000 HP to 980,000 HP.

So, instead of losing that initial 40,000 Hp, it now only loses 20,000 HP and has gained back half the HP it initially lost. Unless you have Brigs that can keep this up all the time, it's ok, but not great (or even really good), imo.

I could be totally wrong, haven't seen it since beta, but that was my understanding then.

There is another annoyance with this debuff. (ties back to when some classes used to have similar percentage based Debuffs).

Say you have a mob with 10,000,000 hitpoints.
You debuff right on the pull, so its hit points are now at 9,800,000.

Then say your raid gets him to 50% health, 4,900,000 hitpoints.
Now, your debuff expires because you either die or cant reapply because you are killing an add or something.
The mob was at 50%, it will stay at 50%, but it will become 50% of 10million instead of 50% of 9.8million.
So the mob will go from havin 4.9million HP to 5million HP.
Grats! You just healed the mob 100,000 HP!

Then you put the debuff right back on, grats it's now back at 4.9 million!

I dont see whats the problem, tbh this looks like a great skill to me, and i do not know of many mobs i would not be able to keep it up on permanently, bar thet-em-aua.

I do have one question about it though, say you have another brigand in your raid, using the same move, does the debuff stack? or if yours runs out and his is still on, will the mobs health stay debuffed the same as when your debuff was on?

think i may have explained that pretty badly buuut yeah.

from the description of the CA it looks almost useless... 2% of max HP woo hoo?

wonder if any devs can respond to this and give some insight

Well anything over 5% would be OP anyway.

It does seem a bit lackluster, for Heroic stuff its just another 2k CA to spam. 5% reduction is about 3 seconds of damage.. and in the majority of group encounters.. who fucking notices?! or cares that one of the 4 mobs has 5% less health suddenly..

I utterly appreciate the damage reduction in Epic fights but at the same time its a skill that wont exactly make or break a fight.

its not very "cool" and i really don't know a way to make it like " wow that brigand has Will to survive"

As mentioned you cant raise its % reduction more, it starts becoming overpowered but as it is... well .... Its..for me... meh! You could make them start to stack up or reapply each time removing 2% of the current total .. again that would be OP and probably start inviting 3 or 4 brigs on a raid to take the thing down in chunks once a minute :O

At least i can call my self Bandit or Deceiver which ever one it was...
