Some Brig assistance
Ok, now I haven't been a Brigand for very long. However, I read how to be a Brigand and several of these other posts on what a Brigand should be doing.
My DA is at 19%
My MC is at 38%
My Attack Rating is 2018
And I use one of the suggested Casting Orders from here on the forums.
I am consistently parsing 4k with all my DPS and Haste buffs and Thugs and Poisons running on the Training Dummy. No Mythical, just Epic. Off hand is a fabled with a delay of 4 and Dmg rating of 100.
Does this parse sound right or should I be doing more? I am also geared in the T1 shard armor. No choker yet, but that's on my list.
I don't time my CA's because when I try to do it, I manage to fuck it all up and do LESS damage each time I try. Tried using the ACT timer method where it dings when each autoattack goes off. I failed miserably with that.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

Re: Some Brig assistance
I'll give you a few quick tips to increase your parse:
1. Make sure one of your rings is the Tynnonium ring of str (that proc'ing DPS mod is HUGE for what I'm guessing your gear is)
2. On big/important fights - use temp adorns Whetstones for 15 dps mod or 3% meleec rit (x2 weapons) + elixir of tactics for 4% more melee crit
3. Make sure you are using your temp buffs as often as you can (You do have Ruthless Cunning A3, right?)
4. Make sure all of your CA's are A3 or better. If you have anything at A1 you can do HUGE improvement by getting to adept 3's.
5. By that same token, masters give you a roughly 14-18% increase in what you can produce - get every master you can find.
6. Using Expert's caustic poison? Don't go cheap on your poisons - make sure you have the expert's version.
7. Adornments - adorn every gear piece you have. If you can't afford the 'expensive' stuff then buy adorns from t4-t7 and get them on every gear piece always. Putting adorns on 20 gear slots is a LOT of extra stats and bonuses.
8. Clearly upgrading to the tier 2 shard armor is a huge concept - I hope you've thought about how you can probably manage to get the 3 set bonus in 2 different sets if you're wearing all void shard gear and planned accordingly. 3 pieces of Wilderness and 3 pieces of Soul Lancer or the brig set is MUCH better than 6 pieces of one gear line.
9. Spam the shit out of your buttons - worry about timing later. Until you get haste and better gear spam ftw, timing later when you are looking to refine.
Good luck,
Wiz

Re: Some Brig assistance
Wiz advises are pretty good...ut if you already do around 4kk dps without mythical and concidering your DA and crit rate you're not doing bad.

Re: Some Brig assistance
1.) Dropped that ring you mentioned for the one that has 42 Str and Sta from the New expansion. Will pick the Tynon ring back up and swap it out. Don't want to lose the Thugga ring I have on the other hand.
2.) Will pick those up asap
3.) I spam the hell out of those as often as I can. Long reuse on them though.
4.) All CA's are Ad III or Master'ed.
5.) See above.
6.) I always go Expert on the poisons. Use them situationally as well.
7.) Will get on the adornments asap
8.) Fearless Chain is what I am in now, what are these other types of armor you are speaking of?
9.) Spam, I am damn good at that LOL.
Appreciate it Wiz

Also in fearless chain myself.
You can take a look at Soul Lancer & Wilderness Armour at the greater void shard merchant in moors.

You're welcome
A few follow-ups:
- Try dropping the Thuuga ring for a handful of training dummy parses and put in the AGI Tynnonium ring (proc'ing haste still has real value too) - just try it, wear both Tynnoniums - I know the Thuuga ring is cool, but what you want is parse, let people beneath you on the parse look cool :P I suspect you'll find the haste sizable value.
- Work with your troub - you should be able to get jester's cap every 2.5 minutes and use your temp buffs in coordination with jester's cap. Also ritual of alacrity if you have a shaman healer in your grp - you can macro a /tell troub jester's cap if you can please and /tell shaman ROA if you can please - then use them 10seconds later when you get a buff that helps reuse time
- As noted, go to the greater shard merchant on the landing station in Moors - you can see all the gear - start with greater and notice you need a specific lesser tier + shards to upgrade - I'm guessing you want the 3 piece Soul Lancer and 3 piece wilderness sets - for 6 of your pieces, but you can sort as you like. Just make sure you know that spell dmg base mod is important, not JUST CA base mod
Good luck,
Wiz

Re: Some Brig assistance
Just a follow up on your follow up LOL.
I tested the rings and believe it or not, after about 5 parses with swapping out those rings, I actually parsed HIGHER without the Tynoninium rings....
/boggle
After reading your explanations, I SHOULD have been parsing higher WITH Them, but I suspect that the DA and CRIT on the rings that I have surpases any Haste or DPS bonus those TYn rings give.
Not sure what's up with that.
On another note, I did lead the parse on our Kor Sha raid last night. By a slim 200 ExtDPS points, but I was the top parser. 11% of raidwide DPS. Now, understand that no one has their Myth yet in our guild. We got to the guys that can't be together or do like 9k DPS on your ass with AOE's. Got em both to +/- 20%, going back Sat to try again.

Diminishing returns. You're being buffed by others for DPS and Haste while in raid, so those rings don't have the same effect as they would solo. It's situation dependent on your groupings as to if those rings will be useful for you.
You're nowhere near the cap on DA and Crit % by your given numbers, so they end up doing more for you. While in raid setups you're likely in your soft cap for DPS/haste.

Re: Some Brig assistance
To add on to Choadley's comments - I actually use 4 buttons for gear setups depending on the grp buffs I get.
Primary buffs are haste and dps mod - if I have those I don't need any tynno rings... so illy, troub, dirge, monk, inq, coercer, etc. all have grp mods for you to be aware of and you should change your gear to reflect it.
From a 'soft cap' perspective - I feel I need to be grp/raid buffed 90 haste/90 dps mod or those become my primary focus for gear additions. If I have 90 in either or both then I focus on melee crit and after melee crit touches 100 I build DA.
If you have 90+ dps/haste and 100+ crit/DA then you can find more dps in gear that procs dmg, base dmg modifiers and finally spell crit bonuses or recast timers (Ring of Four Winds).
For now, use some methodology that if you don't have 60-90 dps/haste mod that you wear the rings, if you do - wear your melee crit and other stuff.
Good luck - it's fun digging up more dps but so situational - brigands don't usually have a 'guaranteed' spot in a specific grp so we tend to get shuffled a little at times. Adjust, conquer.
