You don't need to use law of averages when you can run enough samples in ACT to get actual data that approaches the true value. And I did already explain why I used 1.3 across the board and not worry about Max_dmg+1

Bro, crits do NOT add a flat 30% at 100% crit (for lvl 80 mob). if you have a flat damage spell not a spell with a range on it, then yes it would. Because of the damage range though, it is actually more with the way crits work.

Re: Myth Adornment?
I checked the procs I have by myself, and they had an Average Damage Increase of 31 - 33% when they crit.

Most solo procs are standard damage with no spread though so yes you would see a flat 30ish% increase from them. The ones with the spreads like CoB and such will see a bigger increase from crits. Will scouts see the normal increase from crits that you would get from melee? No you won't because of that. I would say on average, you would probably see a 0.4-0.5 increase after the 2 types of procs averaged out and that is prior to any extra crit damage mods (10% from bards for example).

Re: Myth Adornment?
I see another mistake in the math we used above to sketch out the value of spell crit. We're only using the difference between a max hit and a crit hit as the 'value' of a spell crit. The reality is if you had a proc that would do 600-900 dmg. We were taking the difference between 900 and 900x1.3 as the "value". The fact is, on a 600-900 proc the avg. hit would be 750, not 900. So the 'value' of a crit would be the difference between 750 and 900x1.3 (750-1130): +380 instead of +230.
I'm trying to decide if it's worth 80p to put on vamp handles for a raid then swap back to fabled 2 spell crit adorns for the next raid...

I would go with the spell crit adorns personally. The only reason I don't have them on atm is a money issue cause I'm not playing full time anymore. SOE made crits way more important now with the additional crit damage mods as well and base damage mods.

Re: Myth Adornment?
Scoundril, that was with spread. If it had no spread, it would be a 30% Average Damage Increase. On the procs I checked, they were mostly right below 31% and some was close to 33%.
CA's: 36% Average Damage Increase
Mythical: 77% Average Damage Increase
Avatar Bow (Proc): 30,92% Average Damage Increase
Disease Charm: 30,82% Average Damage Increase
Just a few examples.
This is with Max +1 rule (1.3 Modifier).
EDIT: Lets take CoB (168 - 281 with the gear I had on) and 1.4 Modifier.
It would be: 43,15% Average Damage Increase
And just FYI, I have been been using spell crit adorns for a while now, and it's better than vampiric, at least for a high end raider.

Re: Myth Adornment?
The more procs you have going, the better they help obviously. I don't argue the % increases if that is what ACT is showing. Were those numbers with the bard buffs or just you? You should be seeing a tad bit higher with the 10% extra crit damage from bards and such.

Re: Myth Adornment?
It's calculated numbers...
CoB (168 - 281, 1.3 Modifier)
Average Crit Hit: 305,78
Average Normal (Non-Crit) Hit: 224,50
Average Damage Increase (Non-Crit -> Crit): 36,20%
CoB (168 - 281, 1.4 Modifier)
Average Crit Hit: 321,37
Average Normal (Non-Crit) Hit: 224,50
Average Damage Increase (Non-Crit -> Crit): 43,15%
CoB (168 - 281, 1.5 Modifier)
Average Crit Hit: 339,51
Average Normal (Non-Crit) Hit: 224,50
Average Damage Increase (Non-Crit -> Crit): 51,23%
Lets take the proc on Disease Charm instead.
Disease Cloud (395 - 483, 1.3 Modifier)
Average Crit Hit: 574,30
Average Normal (Non-Crit) Hit: 439
Average Damage Increase (Non-Crit -> Crit): 30,82%
Disease Cloud (395 - 483, 1.4 Modifier)
Average Crit Hit: 633,32
Average Normal (Non-Crit) Hit: 439
Average Damage Increase (Non-Crit -> Crit): 44,26%
Disease Cloud (395 - 483, 1.5 Modifier)
Average Crit Hit: 701,98
Average Normal (Non-Crit) Hit: 439
Average Damage Increase (Non-Crit -> Crit): 59,90%

Re: Myth Adornment?
The reason you see a bit higher than 30% is that rule that says if an attack crits and the dmg*1.3<max_dmg for the spell. It gets bumped to max_dmg+1. Now personally I don't have the patience to go through every spell and figure out how much dmg you gain because of this, but for the most part the damage spreads on procs are small enough that it is not an issue.

Re: Myth Adornment?
The damage you will gain because of Max +1 rule depends on the ratio.
CA's have a ratio of 3:5, and you'll see an Average Damage Increase of 36% (1.3 Modifier).
