Default Returning brigand with questions

Heya I quited EQ2 about a years ago because Iw anted to play with my brother and his GF, and sadly she is playing WoW so my brother play WoW.

But well I can't stand playing WoW anymore, I never found the game so funy but now its just crap, so I prefer to play alone in another game until his GF get bored of the game.

Well last time I wanted to come back - it was right after the expension release - all I heard was how crap the brigand clss became. When I quited it was one of the best class ever ( since my eq1 bard got nerfed). So I am wondering what is the state of the birgand class nowadays.

1) They still good soloer for exp in end game ?
2) They still able to solo in dungeons that could worth farming or getting EXP ?
3) They still wanted in group ? (It was just plain funy to be 1 of the top T2 DPS with the ability to buff melee DPS )
4) Still wanted in raid ? ( i remember that I applyed to a raiding guild with a lvl requirement of 70 but they invited me even if I was only lvl 40 bcuz they wanted more brigand )

1) Yes we do really well soloing for exp.
2) If you have sufficient equipement you can solo heroic mobs in dongeons...but it's pretty hard. On another note it's hard for pretty much all classes.
3) Yes brigands are still wanted in groups...even tho our ae dps sucks compared to other, our debuffs are still a real blessing on nameds or single target encounter.
4) You want at least 1 brigand in your raid...more isn't really needed but sometimes having 2 is nice.

Overall we're still a great class. We're not just as powerfull as some others on wide groups of mobs...but even that way if you're switching targets fast enough you'll be doing good.

I have a couple questions to regarding returning(been out 2 years last month): what would be the fastest route to 80? I would like to get back into raiding ASAP and figure it would only be viable if I am at 80. I read through some of the stickied thread at the tops of this section to try and get up to speed on TSO, etc.

Ask questions if you like, but reading the stickied topics on the forums are your best bet to learn how to ask better questions.

The brigand role is to debuff the hell out of the mob and provide solid to amazing DPS. We're built like rocks and can take many aoe's and a decent amt. of dmg. We make the whole raid work well with our ability to make the mob weaker.

As you find specific problems, and you cannot find the answer already posted - ask away. Most of us (I think) would be happy to help you with good advice, just don't consider this forum a place to get some how-to manual. Put in your time, learn some things, read what's already here, ask finer points. You'll be flooded with help if you care about your toon and put time into it.
