Default Hit Rates

I'm having a hell of a time keeping my hit rates during raid over 80% even with the warden + to hit buff and a Templar in my group. (620 Slashing and 602 piercing, and have mythical + talon)

Something is seriously wrong with my character and I need to find out what it is.

I think it may have something to do with some of the racial bonuses that I receive as a human.

I macro the HO to keep swindlers up almost 100% of the time, i know its not a + skills issue.

I don't have access to the main boards from work, but i think this is my link.

I have full T8/T7/T6 masters that matter, also have the + to offensive stance skills AA, and the human +7 to all skills racial trait.

What the F am I doing wrong and how do i fix it?

I don't think it's you bud.
Your skills are overkill. Can ditch the aa. I had it prior to 170 and I have gotten rid of it since and there is absolutely no difference. I only have a3 off stance and still my skills during raid are still usually close to 600. I still have a slightly higher hit rate than the other scouts (significantly better even than the assassin who has way better gear than me and is pretty consistently top parser). The only time I notice my hit rate go any higher is if I am in the group with the ranger. I'm human as well.

I'll fix the profile thing when i get home.

He was with a ranger for a little while, but even after the ranger was gone, his hit rates were better than mine.. /sigh. its really pissing me off and making my parses look like shit.

And Ldog, whats your race and the assassins race... I need more data ;)

You are having trouble staying over 80% hit rate on orange con nameds? trash?

Just melee dmg with autoattack? All attacks?

As an example, on a Ykesha's Inner Sanctum trash mob last night, I was:

All Outgoing dmg hit rate: 91.45%
JUST MELEE (same encounter): 72.73%
Total Parse: 9574

On a named encounter (Strange Stalker):

All outgoing dmg hit rate: 88.04%
JUST MELEE: 66.14%
Total Parse: 7426


So, which 80% do you mean?

Human. Ass is Kerra. Other brig is rat. Swashys are...rats and kerran I think. Ranger is human.

Racials don't make THAT much difference. Hell if I were to start over I'd be a dark elf.
The +7 skill humans get doesn't really matter once you cap. I suspect my higher hit rate has more to do with group makeup and I don't know if the rest of them keep their swindlers up but I do. I'm also about the least geared out of my raidforce but a lot of the lower end crap has skill on it so I may be higher.

Uhh yeah, as Wiz pointed out greatly depends what we're fighting and if we are talking about cas or auto. I was assuming auto. My ca hit rate is pretty damn high. It's things like procys and our crappy human racial slash attack (I hit that fucker when I got nothing else to hit) that bring the overall nonmelee hit rate down.

I don't have access to my logs at work so I can't give concrete numbers, but I was looking at everyones hit and crit % the other night when we were discussing how to better use buffs for the benefit of the raidforce as opposed to an individuals dps.

yeah its auto attack hit rates that i'm bitching about.

Oh well, ill parse it up tonight and see if i can be stuck in the same group with similar buffs to see if it makes a huge difference.

Auto attack hit rates ftl on higher end mobs , I was about 48% melee on flame while pulling. I didnt have a dirge though. But on lets say palace trash if I get a dirge and we have monk in raids Im normally at about 90+% melee

Ok, last nights logs at least have quite a bit of variety.
We did PR for shits n giggles, then part of ToMC, then after raiding a few of us went to CoM to finish up some old quests.
All zonewide, melee only.
PR 83.04%
ToMC 75.79%
KJ 97.95%

We didn't do VP last night but VP I'm usually in low 80s and we farm VP enough that it's what I usually use for my baseline to see how I am progressing (or not progressing).

Difficulty of mobs makes a huge difference, blue trash in KJ certainly confirms that. On the trash in ToMC my rate was about 90%. Naga dropped me down around 70%. Compared to the 3 of you I am a raw fucking noob but the datas good for comparison purposes.

Last night, Same exact group (wanted to check it out)

I got a 1% better hit rate.

But am under geared comparatively.

(I do live longer in AE intensive fights, but meh. thats not everything).

Need new avatar upgrades asap
