any points over the 4 prerequisite to move down the tree in a base stat= next to useless.

gear will make it go up, and also, base stats are the last thing you should worry about when trying to find gear. buff stats in an order similar to this...

Double Attack/Melee Crit--> DPS Mod/Haste --> CA Damage ---> Str/Agi/Sta/Wis/Int

and also, find a game mechanics post to educate yourself on why these stats are more/less important.

Adornments when your lower level are not that of a big deal. I would only adorn my weapons when lower and call it a day.. but thats just me.

So you think option C is better then B for Rogue AAs? I suppose I can see your point since they are basically exactly the same and gives a nice threat reduction chance. But if you're soloing a lot or playing with a good tank (and don't blow all your CAs in a row) is threat really going to be that much of an issue?

Almost. Since you have to sink points in somewhere to get TS, I have eight points in STR.

That order of preference is correct, though if I never raided I would would buff up my STA. As it is with buffs I don't worry about it, but for a soloer STA is a consideration.

Semi-Noob question... TS? The end of the STR line? If you only take the 4 points in each needed to go down to the next I can see how you'd need to dump some filler points, but following the paths posted in this thread you can still get 4 in str and get TS at the end. Although obviously you don't HAVE to follow the paths here... and the max dps path does have 8 in STR..

Mine actually looks like 8-8-4-8-1 cause yeah, max DPS. Where else are you going to spend loose points on the rogue tree anyway? Int's worthless now except to get Boot Dagger. Why wouldn't you put four point in STR for max damage?

Because the minor damage increase you get out of that could instead be put to use towards surviving more AEs?

If that was a problem for me, perhaps so. I'm not particularly fragile and the fights where I could really use more stability vs AE, I would need a lot more than four points can give me.

If I were not completely against re-speccing for no good reason, since my build works just fine, I would be more inclined to dump some points into Thief's Prowess. Not gonna though.

To semi-derail the topic about points in stats and where to put them... So you're saying INT is worthless? Do you mean as the tree line (besides Boot Dagger) or just in general so the whole "int on earrings" thing from the guide should just be ignored?

Poisons don't crit anymore, and that was the main reason to work up INT. Pretty sure that has been discussed at length on these forums.
