seeing the bar is only slightly more easymode than hearing the beeps from ACT

hearing the beeps is only slightly more easymode than actually watching for your autoattack.

but its all pretty easy lol.

also, just a quick tip, maybe helpful maybe not.

ive mapped my assist key to the center button of my mouse, and my target next (tab for most people) is mapped to right ctrl key.

i dont know how most people play, but when im playing a scout i use my mouse to cast my CAs and my left hand on the arrow keys for movement.

for me these mappings make it wayyy more convenient to target the next mob.

options > controls > hotbutton keys

set hotbutton X to that it can be activated by X or your middle mouse button.
then just put your /assist macro on that hotbutton.

also you can fool around with targetting.
options > controls > targeting

im trying to think of a good key to map 'target next' to. im thinking maybe right ctrl. i get so aggravated when the tank or MA take a long time to target the next mob lol.
