I don't think it'll ever happen, Orochan. At least not in 100% of cases, or even >90%. There are simply too many classes vs the number of raid slots. You need a literal 1 to 1 correlation right now to make that happen. If the subclasses were collapsed into the 12 base classes things might be very different.

I do, however, think that it's a goal of the dev team, of any dev team, to include every single class in a balanced, meaningful role on raids. To think otherwise is to assume that they are pursuing a bad business model.

...and if we assume that the intention is to include every class in a meaningful role, then tell me how that intention gets turned into reality....

I agree also, with everything you said haha. Too many classes, not enough raid spots.

I see two options, one being yours, to reduce classes, or to increase the spots needed to fill a raid. I'd much rather have them consolidate classes though, it's hard enough getting 24 good players lol.

I think their intention is a step in the right direction, that being to make summoners a more wanted spot in raids, but I think they are going about it in the wrong way. I mean if a dev just sat down and read the eq2flames' necro/conjy class board they would be presented with limitless ideas on how to better the class.

that's imo though.

Glad I started raiding part time with my troub. We honestly don't even miss having a brigand along. Cant even tell a difference.

You guys were lucky to have this man there. He grilled Aerilick on this shit more than a few times that I saw. I played Brig for 3 years and now on the other side of the rogue fence and EVERYTHING that I heard was that Brigs will have adjustments made to equal the loss of the debuffs. I am sure no one that plays a Brig would turn down hurricane or more AOE DPS if that was added in place.

If they wanna give us some new abilities or greater damage output in return that would be nice. They've never given us anything before when they've taken things in the past. This time around it would be nice if we got something other then a big fuck you.
