exactly... ive also thought of strikethrough % reduction, haste and dps debuffs that reduce % based instead of a number since most mobs are hasted to like 500 on the backend.. mob double attack reduction, etc.. ive been bitching about swash debuffs forever... if we give decent feedback and they actually fucking listen... then there is some potential.
it just not better be fighter revamp 2.0

There is a lot they could do to modify both swashbucklers and brigands with quite a number of rare mechanics becomming more common with TSO. Though most of them would fit better for swashy.
Another thing someone mentioned in brig WW I thought was a pretty cool idea would be to add a component to dispatch that disabled damage shields with a 1-2 min immunity from the effect.

I'm still not convinced that they'll actually add in anything useful for us in returns for changing our debuffs. History just doesn't speak to that. Some kind of limited immunity to those damage shields would be fucking awesome. Reactive stun/stifle/disarm/target lock is fail.

That's the point, it's still useless and it's still at the least 2-3 secs of doing nothing. I mean I don't even use it for soloing that much anymore, why wud why wen most mobs die faster by pure auto attack + 1-3 CA's.
The biggest thing effecting ruse is the outdated system it uses, and the fact that it takes no + mods into effect. I have rused a mob before and have parried 3 attacks, which defeats the purpose of even using ruse to begin with. That is why at the least they need to change it so you have absolutely 100% chance of getting it.
Imo though they should just change it into a straight up behind only attack + a debuff.

Maybe make thieves guild single target group/raid..or reduce the % and make it raid/group wide to all mit debuffs. Other than that, i really enjoy playing this class. The ruse ability does suck as well

Here's a hint: when you target a mob, it shows its target as well. This is known as the implied target. If no implied target shows up, and the mob is deffinately in combat, that means you are the target. If, however, it has "MainTank'sName" as it's target, it is not targetting you. A mob can't have 2 targets at once, silly.
So, here's what you do.
Target the mob. You should see it is targeting the tank. Then, use ruse. If the mob is on you, good job, you'll be back up in no time, fighting again.
If, however, the mob is still targetting the main tank, what does that mean?
Yes, you're right! The mob is not on you! So click ruse again. What this will do is make you cancel the ability, it's pretty cool, right? So click ruse that second time, and you can continue fighting. If you practice this and get good at it, you'll see no loss to your dps.
