Why did you start playing a brigand...

I want to hear stories long or short on why you chose switched to a brigand.

Personally back right after KOS was launched I decided to switch mains because I started the night shift and the though of soloing my Templar made me want to put a staple gun to my hand.

So, i heard brigands had AE immunity and decent dps, so i was like, eh... why not... my previous experience with Jerm when he was on Crushbone was great and I figured it was a good class to solo with.

Hence Johnathon was born =)

Pally was my main, I got tired of crusaders lack of ability to tank to the fullest in raiding scenarios. Not saying crusaders suck ass at tanking, but seriously warriors are and will always be superior. My pally was the best dps pally out there, not bragging but was told enough times to believe it. I got addicted to dpsing, then I decided wth I might as well play a real dps class. I wanted the more middle end dpsing and debuffing keeps me busy as well so really the brigand is my and will always be my favorite choice.

I was MT of a guild for a year... it burned me out. Got sick of tanking ya know? My current guild wasnt raiding. So i looked at another guild to either play my assassin or brigand... they didnt need an assassin so there we go.

When making an alt, I wanted to ensure I leveled fast, so I knew I had to be a DPS class, and one that wouldnt get much debt (no sorcerors). And on top of that, it had to be a class that had a good purpose in a raid - if i was gonnna bring an alt over my illu there had to be a reason for it.

Brigand was the best choice, cuz:

A) I knew i wouldnt need to put much effort into resist/HP gear to get him raid-ready cuz of AR (well, back then at least)
B) As a brig twink, you never have to worry about how good the tank is cuz u have more mitigation/HP than him anyway, plus you hold aggro better.
C) Again, as a brig twink, you dont have to worry about how noobish the DPS classes in the group are cuz you can tear up any heroic in just a few seconds.
D) And as a brig (not even a twink), you can own most heroics before they even hit you, especially back when i was leveling and the Restrain line was a bunch of stuns, so you dont gotta worry if the healer is a noob.
E) Didnt have to wait on tanks to start XPing, cuz brigs can act as a tank until one is found

I knew on day 1 everyone and their mom was going to play an assassin... and i thought at the time rangers and swashies are gay, found out i was right... so the Zandus of Mistmoore brigand was born on that lonely november afternoon.

I for one never swiched. From being a ranger in EQ1, with a rogue alt, I decided to be a Rogue... and since we were all newbs at one point. I thought I could get faction with qeynos better if starting Evil. Also knew that most would start out in qeynos so i just wanted to be different.

Played for years a rogue in eq1.
(btw, I always play the "roguish" guy in games, computer and pen&Paper ones)

I just love it, tried all the others shit, but always finished to be a rogue.
So my brigand is my main. Born on early days, and still my main today.

Cause Rogue(or call it Brigand) is more than a class, it's a state of mind ;)

I had 2 scouts that where lvl 6ish, when lu whatever that made classes from the start i had to pick which they would be one is ass(alche) and the other brigy(provis). Fastforward a month or two. Was 2-boxing zerker defiler at 55 decide zerkers where gay(not that being gay is a bad thing, its just a word i use, if dont like gay you can sub fuckshit in its place and if you dont like fuckshit put puppies in its place, and if you dont like puppies there is something wrong with you) so i started 2 boxing the brig. At around lvl 35ish i was in love. At 50 "I was omg i have a new main." and it just keeps getting better and better.

That was the quick and dirty.
