Default AR Clicky vs Proc

Though i think for the most part people are no longer bitter about AR. Yet I do see a need for a slight tweek of the Buff. After this weeks thread I figured I would ask how you would change it. Don't just vote in the poll provide some insight on why you chose your answer.

I dont play a brigand as my main, but I do play one none the less. Perhaps not even very well, but thats a whole nother topic.

From the moment they mentioned changing AR, I strongly believed that it should be a clicky on a timer. Or a temp buff. Reasoning being that AR in its current proc state just isnt reliable enough. I'd much rather know that I could avoid 1 AE safely, then chance getting AR to proc in a timely manner to avoid the AE. As a temp buff/clicky you will still be able to rely on it to avoid the AE, you just wouldnt be able to rely on it to avoid all AEs. Doing it this way would at least give it back some control to the player, rather then luck.

AR in its current form is pretty shitty.

What could be a way to do is it make it an effect without a recast, however when you use it you get a huge debuff on your stats, however you get to avoid the AE. Basically when an AE is about to go off, you hit it, and it goes up. The other thing is, you get a 5s recovery period when you hit it so you can't use any CAs during the 5s. Obviously the debuff needs to be large enough so that it actually lowers your dps while its up.

no way it should be yet another clicky with more recast. i swear this game has absolutely no spell ingenuity what so ever. by lvl 70 we are going to be micromanaging so many class/aa abilities you wont have a second to take your eyes off the parser or your hotbars.

it should be, its up permanently. if you use a combat art, it goes down for 2 seconds. dont want to get hit? dont use combat arts. you would lose a lot of dps. or hell, you could have it so if you deal any damage it goes down for 2 seconds.

simple, intuitive. NO MORE AOE AVOID CLICKIES YOU DUMBFUCK DESIGNERS

Any form of control over it, rather then luck, is a good idea.

I agree - right now you can slow up your CA casting and hope that AR comes up - and with certain buffs (and the AA) it is faily reliable....

...but...

It is still based on luck that it will be up. There should be a way to have it up - but as others have said you should not be able to keep the same DPS throughout it being activated.

To tell you the truth, i'd rather have ar in its current form than not be able to use ca's when its up. But personally I voted for the 7 sec duration over the 5 sec.

well the point is you can reliably avoid any aoes if you can time worth a time, and you just cant hit CA's for like 2-4 seconds per aoe? thats not that bad at all:\!
