Default RoK Epic Weapon Feedback

If you have ideas for what you'd like the epic ROK brigand weapon to be please post it here in this thread. Archonix does peruse forums so something you suggest just may get implemented. Please be as realistic and as detailed as possible.

Post something retarded or hijack this thread in any way and ill straight up delete your shit. Even if you think someones idea is dumb, i dont want to fucking hear it about it. Leave your comments good or bad to yourself.

And if you aren't a brigand or don't have a brigand, dont post either.

well tbh its quite hard, but i think as most scouts i would like to see some high stats on it, 4s delay or something, str/agi/sta/int stats around the 40ish mebbe iif it will be VERY hard to obtain it, proc: on a melee attack, proc triggers 1.8 times per minute, lasts for 20s: increase double attack chance by 15%, increase power of caster by 150 instantly and every 5 seconds, increase amount of debuffs by 10%.

maybe a bit overpowered, but: as far as i got told, only about 1% of the serverpopulation of a server had epic weapons in EQ1, and if its gonna be the same in EQ2 then i think it should be that way.

I'd like to see maybe something like, I think it was the warrior epic?, where you could combine the two dual wields to make a 2 hander, or vice versa make the 2 hander a set of dw weaps. I think that'd be kinda cool to fit both 1 hand and dual wield specs.

It's ok, could of been better but i'm not that picky because it is a game and i guess it is good that is it not so powerful but it really isnt anything to be really really wanting if your already able to get it. But if the weapon change does happen, some may want to have it to go along with some other weapon... /shrugs

How bout a 5% chance to proc a triple attack, that would be hot.

I am not a brigand, but I would suggest something that works with current mechanics... maybe like 2 procs? Maybe have either 2 weapons, or one weapon with 2 procs. Either way those procs would be double or triple attack, and a set duration AR proc (when equipped) such as 10 additional seconds on AR proc... giving 15 seconds total duration.

So hard to do this without seeing what the "standard" of RoK items is going to look like. What the standard DR is going to be of entry level fabled weapons, stats, things like that.

If this is truly going to be an Epic quest, difficult to complete, possibly taking multiple weeks/months, I think it should absolutely be the best damn weapon in the game for each class, no questions asked.

NameofEpic (I Would love to see Ragebringer again)
Fabled
Lore No-Trade

+45 str +40 agi +30 int
+225 health + 200 power
+ 12 Piercing
+ 10 Double Attack Chance
+ 4 Melee Critical
Critical Thrust
Fearful Respect
Brigands Spite

Dagger
1 Hand Piercing
Damage 46-289 (whatever appropriate DR will be, guessing 98-103 ish)
Delay 4.0 seconds
Condition 100%
Weight 2.0

Effects:
-When equipped:
Applies Fearful Respect on the Brigand, causing your enemies to avoid you more out of fear. reduces hate gain by 5%.

-When equipped:
On a successful attack this spell has a chance to cast Critical Thrust on the Brigand, lasts for 5 seconds. This effect will trigger an average of 1.8 times per minute.
-Next attack that requires the brigand to be positioned behind the target, will be critical.

-When equipped:
On a successful attack this spell has a chance to cast Brigands Spite on target. This effect will trigger an average of 2.1 times per minute
Inflicts 350 Poison damage on target

-----------------------------
Keep in mind im doing this at work, and I have put almost NO thought into balance issues with an item like this. It's purely for converation sake and brainstorming On one hand I think some of hte above is absurd and obviously over-powering, but on the other hand if only 1-3% of the server will obtain these weapons, then fuck it

Also - I'm assuming that there will be no more "Dual wield" weapons in game, hence 1 hand.

I think since the weapon is the reward from an epic quest, there is a lot of room to place lore about said weapon in game, explaining why it behaves the way it does.

Something that would cause the dagger to do less base damage if it were damaged badly (like 30% condition or below) but as a result of this, caused it to trigger with more frequency, or all effects tied onto the weapon would have a larger potency (IE critical next 2 rear positional attacks, instead of 1, de-aggro by 15% instead of 5) until the dagger is repaired to 100%. It could be explained in the story line why the dagger behaves like this /shrug

There is definately room for some ideas for more original effects and enhancements on weapons with the new expansion Maybe the weapon could give us a new damage CA as long as the weapon is equipped. Or have a bane damage versus a creature, explained via the quest. (would be perfect for a paladin, additional damage to undead)

after raids tonight i'll post more, yay for eh =/

Lucky Strike
One Handed Slashing
+50 Strength, +40 Stamina, +50 Intelligence
220 Health, 180 Power
20 - 355
3.0 delay
125 Damage Rating
+10 Slashing
+5% Melee Crits

When Equipped:
Every time the caster generates hate, 20% of that hate will be transferred to a random fighter in the caster's group.

When Equipped:
On a successful melee attack this spell has a chance to cast dominate spirit on target of attack. Lasts for 10 seconds. This effect will trigger an average of 1.0 times per minute.
Decreases the targets Strength and Intelligence by 100.
Increases the casters Strength and Intelligence by 100.

When Equipped
On a successful melee attack this spell has a chance to cast dominate will on target of attack. Lasts for 10 seconds. This effect will trigger an average of 1.0 times per minute.
Decreases the targets Haste and Dps Mod by 30.
Incrases the caster's Haste and Dps Mod by 30.

Actually the most important effect is the hate transfer, the rest was just to flesh out the weapon a little.

I'm not exactly sure what the dr would be, the best way to find out would probably be to compare the best t6 DR versus the best t7 DR and see what the percentage increase is, then base the t8 DR off that percentage increase....

When Equipped:
On a successful melee attack this spell has a 25% chance to cast teleport.
Teleports the caster to the target's back.
