all IMHO tho

not that it justifies
anything, but just consider the joust time saved on some mobs by feigning directly behind them and then being able to stand up and start DPSing immediately after the AE comes (as well as not having to waste healer power and time on your ass)
yes you lose X% of your dps by not going AGI/WIS with your STR line, but you'll gain X% by being able to stay in longer (both prior to and after AE's). data not tested, hence the X's... just making a point.
i was messing around with a STR/INT spec just for fun... and it's not horrible. not great (i miss sailwind and avast ye /cry) but it's not horrible either.
and i guess if your guild is having MT aggro problems it could be a sensible band-aid spec for rogues too. the extra deaggros let you full out DPS without worry of pulling the mob. if for some reason you find yourself massively outgearing the MT and even with his max aggro group setup you're still pulling it, this would also apply.
plus, extra sexy FD for your own personal devious uses when not raiding! (and i'm on a pvp server so the uses are multiplied *egrin*)
just some things to think about
edit: also... boot dagger owns for skewer. no lie. i always felt like a tool when i'd spend the 1-2 seconds for sneak/hideaway to cast skewer. boot dagger is a lightning fast low dmg attack that stealths you, only thing that brigs get that makes sense to not kill your DPS w/ skewer.
