    Default Been Gone, could use advice

    So, I left a month or so before the expansion came out and I just came back a week ago. I have not gone back into raiding yet as my priority is getting myself respectable gear/stats and learning the changes with the new expansion before I jump into a guild. As a result, I am relying on group gear drops.

    At any rate, I have heard that WDB is the way to go instead of potency. The problem is, I cant make a full set of WDB and I seem to get Potency Potent armor mostly. I have decided the best thing to do would be to go with potent potency set instead of crypic/arcane WDB pieces. I plan on having both sets eventually and can make a more sound decision according to how I play.

    Would anyone mind looking at my toon and offering some suggestions to maximize dps?

    Welcome back! A merchant was added in Vespyr Isle that you can buy conversion items that change any piece of armor into a sort of token. If there is a particular piece of armor you want like a potent chest with WDB or w/e you can save up 7 potent chests and turn them in for the exact chest that you want.

    So far I found a good combination of armor consisting of WDB with either the MA on it or the AoE on it. I use one piece (helm) that has ability reuse and between that, AA and other gear my reuse is around 100. The rest is all WDB with either the AoE auto or MA.

    I like the MA on some of the gear to use as a reforging tool. You can get a way with 120 MA and still get your extra attack and the %rate into the additional attack after that is very low and hardly worth chasing after. If you spec right side prestige I would highly recommend getting the WDB armor that has DPS mod on it. At 600 dps mod your autos are improved by 600% and at 1,000dps mod they are improved by 700%. Shooting for 1k is a win win because you get outstanding auto attacks plus the crit bonus conversion from prestige then factor in all of the WDB armor and your autos can spike for 1 mil a hit or more.

    Your ability mod is extremely high and at least 10k of that is doing nothing for you. Try to keep around 10-12k ability mod.

    Here are a couple ways to get some potency without sacrificing WDB:
    -Sanctum of Scaleborn the new contested zone drops armor that has great stats on it including potency on each but no Stamina. Getting a couple pieces of that depending on slot can give you a nice chunk of potency while maintaining WDB.
    -There are a couple jewelry items 1 from Stratum last name called the Fanatics stud and the slightly upgraded version of it in the SoS contested zone which procs 80 or 88 potency depending on which one you get. The downside is each proc which stacks up to 40 also increases the amount of damage you take by 25%. As a brigand that effect is much less hazardous since we often proc amazing reflexes.

    As for reforging I would ignore reforging into recover - I think I saw 1 item that had recovery reforged into on it. Most effective use of reforging I have found is to start with the items that have the highest Multi attack of them and reforge into AoE auto until you reach 100. Any extra MA that can be reforge I used to get my ability mod, dps mop and sometimes attack speed up. As a rule of thumb I always take my primary and secondary weapon and reforge something on them into accuracy. I run around 14% solo and with dirge buffs I have no issues with hit rates on raids.

    Adorns I try to balance between the usual Agi, weapon skills, ability mod and dps mod. Every white adorn weapon slot should have crit bonus increaser. Until you start raiding you really only need 600 crit chance so those adorns are not needed till then and a purple deceptive discretion rune will give nice in combat run speed and 22 crit chance iirc.

    Feel free to check out my character and aa - take care.

    I am one step ahead of you, you are the guy I copied my AA after already . What target rate would you recomend for stats in order of importance? I am shooting toward a WDB set and have pieces saved up. Unfortunately it takes a while and I had to have better gear to run some of the more difficult zones, which is why I went potency gear for now.

    Thanks for the advice Omence!

    No problem! Stat priority for me is CB, WDB, DPS mod, 100 AoE auto, potency and ability mod. With the current gear options it's fairly easy to reach 90ish casting speed and reuse.

    I personally wouldn't wear anything other than pot gear. Potency is better on singles but worse on aoe, if you get a finisher neck it's better full time. I feel brigands are more about single target anyway, so /shrug.

    If you are guaranteed a dirge/coercer (and you're lucky if you are) you want your solo stats to be the following at minimum:
    555 dps (food/drink/bc->600)
    190 haste (food/drink/cob maintained -> ~300)
    160 ma (dirge/coe group buffs -> ~300)
    62 cast speed (allegro/breeze/temp adorn -> 100)
    85 reuse (temp adorn -> 100)
    recovery doesn't matter
    100 ae auto
    15-20k ability mod
    ~1200 weapon skills
    Accuracy depends on buffs too. At least 10. Upwards of 20.

    Stacking overcap dps mod is cool if you're wearing wdb gear, especially if you're using right side, but I wouldn't go past 800 if you still have sub 300 buffed haste/ma.

    When choosing between post-300 MA/Haste, if you're using flurry/cb/pot belt/cloak and have at least 33% flurry, MA is more dps gain than Haste, but you should try to scale them evenly 1:1. If you're using left side I'd probably keep MA ahead of haste by a couple hundred.

    Thank you very much for advice. I made some changes and I am very happy with the results from the zones I ran last night.

    Should drop the last 21 points in dragonwrath line for CoE. If you raid and don't take CoE you're derping it up.

    Also brigand shadows line, 5 in bum rush is > 5 in stunning blow.

    Heroic, 10 in siphoning > 10 in dom.

    Class foci: thieves guild worthless. take befuddle or 5% run speed.

    Brigand is preference but I threw 3 in enhance: shenanigans for the times I was specced left side.

    Buff,

    How about the mixture of WDB (non stamina gear) and potent armor. Seem like if you can stay above 400k hp's and gain the wdb and some potency it would be a win win. Overcahrged BP and Legs give you a LOT of hp's allowing for the other pieces to be moved around a bit. Curious on your opinion of that type of set.

    Sure if you don't mind dying to things that hit you for more than 400k.

    I am not raiding yet Buff. I am learning the changes and getting my toon set correctly before I apply to a raid guild.
