Gone a long time, back, and have some questions.
I haven't played since before Fallen Dynasty came out, so my AA's and my understanding of them are minimal.
Back when the AA's had weapon reqs on them I was spec'd up STA and WIS. I like Crane Flock but there should be a better way to improve DPS than CF.
I was playing around and respecc'd 448 in WIS STA INT, but looking it over I was thinking I could dump STA and go 448 or 484 in AGI. What's the prevailing wisdom on the Brawler tree for us atm? I solo mostly, and I don't raid anymore.
I'm wielding Fists of Bashing (77/2.5) and a Horndrake Crescent (72/1.6) atm. The rest of my gear is decent but not awesome. I have mostly crafted jewelry and Legendaries equipped. Edit: I also have a Staff of the Flapping Wing (110/2.5).
I'm also trying to figure out the best way to go in the Bruiser tree. I don't see a whole lot that I like in there, personally. Retribution of Stone sounds good on paper, but I've been told it works pretty badly. Right now I'm sitting with 17 points on the Bruiser tree spread out between Conditioning and Knockouts. I could use some advice on what to do with these as well.
I'd really like to be able to solo better for farming instances and whatnot. I'll worry about raiding specs if I get back into it.
Thanks.
Oh, uh, where do I get one of those <condition> Idols of Zan Fi I see people wearing?

Re: Gone a long time, back, and have some questions.
WIS/INT is probably the most common build now, with endlines in both trees. With the DW changes you are still probably better off with dual wield than the Flapping Wing.
In the bruiser tree, I would max out knockouts and Ignore Agony. If you don't even group you might as well go down conditioning line and get Retribution of Stone, the rest will be worthless for solo play.
The Zan Fi Idols are from the tower quests in Village of Shin. IIRC, the quest to get the idol itself is heroic. Check eq2i for details.

Re: Gone a long time, back, and have some questions.
like yourself I also recently returned from a long absence. In the bruiser tree... check out Drag... It's a fun ability. Duel someone with it in the bonemire or somewhere near a cliff, then jump off the cliff! You'll pull them to thier doom~!

Re: Gone a long time, back, and have some questions.
So I'm torn between two paths atm and I'm not a rich guy, so respeccing is not something I want to do too often.
1) 4484 Int, Wis
-Crane Flock, Crits. A pretty common build. People I see solo farming roll with this a lot. I think this setup would give me a lot less sustained DPS when I solo, but Crane Flock is crazy burst damage. Is Crane Flock something I can do without when I'm trying to farm solo?
2) 448, Agi, Int, Wis
-Crits, Crane Twirl, Sped-up Re-use time. I put a Phantom Handle on my Fists of Bashing and I couldn't run myself out of power soloing. It makes sense to me that this setup would be better for sustained DPS, but I'd like to hear from someone that's tried both of these sets if possible to either confirm or deny that it works as well or better than the first one. Would the quickened recast on my AE attacks significantly help bridge the gap between having Crane Flock and not?

I have used both as well and #2 is the best one IMO, I solo sometimes when time permits, but mostly raid...
Baton Flurry helps your reuse timers for your CA's, I use #2 and I have tried all kinds of set ups and settled on #2 after coming to these boards, there are some fuckers here that know their shit. I would recommend that set up to as I have a few of my guildys

Re: Gone a long time, back, and have some questions.
I also use #2, the reduced recast I am finding, is quite usefull. especially if you have ring of the 4 winds.
