Was in the Inquis forum for an upgrade to vraksakin.

This item has a much better chance to be my Inquis's final upgrade than any of the other items linked in that thread due to my Shield Ally avoidance lending ability on him.

on the topic. yea i came here to whine about the lack of legendary quested gear for brawlers. i think the only 3 items i got so far (droag tooth earing 2 melee crit +5 to crushing piercing slashing, jade earng 2 double attack, reet eye ring 2 melee crit 20 CA damage) were non class specific and thus could be used by any and all who chose to wear them. i have only managed to get 1 new piece of armor and none of the armor from legendary quest rewards was brawler oriented at all. i mean seriously they usually had a plate tank reward, a plat healer reward, a scout reward, a chain/leather heal reward, and a mage reward, but no leather dps/tank reward? is it really that hard to make 1 more item when you guys catered to every other class in game as best as possible on the quest? no not really, most of this stuff is pretty generic anyway, reused procs and stats that arent that hard to come up with, but still, no brawler loot when it would have taken all of 5 or 10 minutes to add an extra item

FFS. Thats five times in the past week now. No. Shield Ally is the exact same mechanic as the fighters' avoidance lend abilities. It works with a two hand, don't believe me, ask Leorra.

I really think with the logic they used for healers, make the vast majority of the armor rewards leather for healers, should have been done for melee DPS, make all of the melee DPS armor rewards leather.

As for tanking leather... yeah its sucking that there aren't really any quest rewards for it like there are for tanking plate.

I haven't been named farming enough to fully explore each zone's named loot table to see if the drops for tanking leather are there.

Have seen some rather decent leather set armor, low-ish on mitigation, but meh, rather have the bonuses of +crit, +skill, +ca dmg and proc's.

OK, I'm pissed.

I'm level 79, almost 80 now. Done the majority of the quest lines from KP, Fens, KJ, and the Wastes and been through several of the ROK group instances.

For my ears and rings I have 3-4 legendary items that are all decent items that I have to pick and choose what I want to wear...double attack vs melee crit chance. HOWEVER, for leather armor I have replaced my boots and gloves and that is it, and they were my weakest points of my gear because I never really raided KoS or EoF on my Monk. But at level 79 I have yet to find items to replace EoF Legendary...anyone find that fucked up?

Oh and for fun, check out the gi that's coming out of the Crypt of Agony along side the Dymphel Linksteel Tunic from the CMM (the one with +2 melee crit chance)...I have one word for that...bullshit.

Not sure why people always blame the lack of brawler gear on caster leather. The reason you're seeing so much caster leather this expansion is because I felt it would be pointless to create every single piece of priest armor in triplicate (leather, chain, plate) when all 3 types could wear leather, and generally had little use for the extra mitigation of the higher armor types. Thus, the majority of the priest gear I created was leather so that all priests could make use of it. The lack of brawler gear stems from the fact that they use a combination of stats and an armor type that no other classes use. I can create 3 pieces of leather aimed at druids, shamans, and clerics, and have 3 viable items for each (ie. any one of those classes could use any of the 3 armors). But when I create a brawler armor, only brawlers will ever be wearing it. There are 24 classes to itemize, a number of which have special stat and effect requirements. I try to be as accommodating as I can, but the fact is that the classes who share useful stats (like priests or cloth casters) are always going to receive a much larger selection than classes with specific needs. This is an unfortunate result of the way these classes were initially designed.
That being said, I dedicated 2 full sets of armor to brawlers, which is more than other classes (such as dirges, conjurors, shadowknights, etc.) had designed specifically for them. Those classes may have a wider selection of armor, but most of it was not created specifically for them.

I have to call BS on the Answer from fyreflyte. Not every priest wants INT and spell crits. The good solo'ing priests are melee speced and need STR, melee crits, melee heal procs, and extra defense as much as any Brawler. I have seen a lot a good Fury gear but almost nothing for Wardens.
