Default Base DPS from the strength line AA

KK, let me start by saying thanks to all the bruisers that have helped me by sharing your info and experience, keep up the good work. I am posting to inform the community of what i have found concerning the strength line AA tree. I am lvl 78 and have ran quite a few parses on the training wall in the Kunzar Jungle. i am currently spec'd
strength 4,5,8,8,1
agility 4,4,8
Intel 4,4,8,8,1
So i parse the training wall unarmed and it looks like this
"exit dps=300.93, to hit=78.47, and thats off 439 swings"
Now i equip 2 master crafted pristine imbued incarnadine katars and my dps is " exit dps=250.19, to hit=76.48, with 514 swings "
Now this is just auto attack dps, is it just me or is there a big problem we as bruisers spend 22 AA points and see a whopping 50dps bonus.
Now i am not a above average bruiser in any fashion ( can't state this enough). With that said and i may be off base here but from what i see only the people that don't have good fabled use the strength line as a way to increase their dps. So the people who need the dps the most are being suckered into using a line that only provides approx. 50 extra dps (@78 that is). Now surely using mastercrafted weapons and spending those 22 AA in another tree would give a larger boost than that. Also i have recently found out that the unarmed for the strength line count as a 2-handed weapon. I am gonna turn this over to the bruisers that know more than me, as for me i am advising all bruisers to boycott the strength line as suggested by our older bruisers on here. Also i was using the mastercrafted cape for haste on the auto attack, no buffs at all in testing.

I would say not a very good comparison for dps. If you are going to use weapons you wouldnt put any points in the STR line. So I would think you would need to AA respec from STR to test the weapons.

Not sure i understand your meaning, if you are spec'd for the strength line to go unarmed, then most likely you are doing it for the dps increase seeing as how you get like 96% double attack and an dps buff. But when you compare that to a set of mastercrafted weapons all you are gaining is 50dps over the course of a 127K auto attack only fight (@lvl 78). Not sure bout you but I just expected more for the AA being tied up, guess what it boils down to is what you believe your AA is worth. Maybe its just me but the training wall is there for anyone to use(as long as no questers are waiting to use it) try it for yourself and post the results.

What he means is that if you were NOT using the str line those 26 points you have in the str tree and absolutely do nothing when you have weapons on would probably be somewhere else, more than likely wisdom. If you fight the wall unarmed and then put on weapons and respec for things outside of the STR line you'll have extra procs. No doubt if you switched from STR to WIS you'd probably see weapons win out.

Well , I thought that would be obvious to anyone who had ever played the game and used any of the AA's before. My point being that the strength line is in effect not even worth taking over the mastercrafted.

Presumably if you're building a spec to be able to kill ^^^ nameds then even with fabled weapons STR has an appeal for Chi? So you may be not using 18 of the 22 points needed to get to Chi, but Chi is pretty nice.

I would have assumed Chi and Crane Flock, with INT line crits, would be the best way to up the burst dps needed to have a chance of killing named or high con ^^^ mobs?

Or is killing nameds a thing of the past with RoK due to mob HP and spike damage?

I've never gone down the strength line, but I woudl love to try CHI someday. It's ashame that I can't try it though, because to try it would be throwing 22 AA's in the trash just to get there.

Honestly though, it's been said time and time again. The strength line needs a complete overhaul. It needs to either lower the benefits if there are weapons equipped, or it needs to change to having double attack% and raw mitigation.

When you try to compare Weapons ( or in this case fist vs actual weapons ) Never ever just auto attack. It creates a very flawed end picture about which truly is the most DPS.
