Actually, for monk, we don't have snap aggro before rok (peel). That's why drag was so attractive.

I never had an issue even pre rok as of snap agro . Really if i wanted to pick up an add i got it near isntantly and locked it down. Yeah i didnt have drag but my abilities were enough to do what was needed for offtanking any adds. IMHO a good quick offtank is like a good dpser. Its more skill and class knowledge then class abilities that makes them great.

Then your dpsers didn't do enough burst damage on adds. Moreover, the usefulness of snap aggro isn't limited to add. For example, we got killed while tanking. After rez, if we have snap aggro, we can get mob back immediately.

That's why reinforcement is so useful and one of the reasons why guardian is best MT in the raid. Even guardian is killed, after rez and rebuff, he can get back to MT right away.

our agro is the worst out of any class when it comes to actually tanking which means tanking the mob from start to end. We are one of the only classes that doesnt have a move that changes our hate position drastically , ie moving our hate position up, which is why guardians, pallies, and monks with peel are so much better then us. SKs and zerkers have aoe agro we could never dream about and can snap it with insolence and deathmarch. My argument is not assuming agro which any FUCKING tank can do. my point is we cant maintain agro on hard content from start to end. Our guild rolled with 1 guard 1 pally and myself as tanks if the pally isnt on i have to tank shit in VP ie phara or SW when tank gets charmed. Our drag and divide and conquer suck because it doesnt change our hate position where as with reinforcement if one guardian dies u can simple get up hit reinforcement and climb back to the top quickly or pallies holyground or even peel can do.

I now play an additional guard on phara and SW in VP. If you have ever played a guardian u would know how shitty a bruiser is atm when it comes to tanking and how far behind we are. This is all fine if our DPS is way above theres but on hard content it really isnt miles ahead of theirs....And if you think we have more utility double recapture on mobs is fucking as leet as it comes. And why take a bruiser for dps? fucking take an assassin that can own us any day of the week. Our raid wide buff is okay but it isnt close to the monks one.

All i am saying is that we are miles behind other tank classes when it comes to everything that matters in end game content for a tanking class. the only thing that we have is dps which is above other tank classes by a lot on shitty encounters and marginally above them on hard encounters. Maybe end game avatar gear will make up for this and or our epic but that is a lot of maybes it seems to me...

mobs that have fear or stuns that go through closed mind
fear orbs on traverno
sleeping dragon fear
thinking there is one more will pay closer attention next time

you do realize any tank class can assume agro on a fight when they want to...our pally atm can go afk for 95% of the fight then use holy ground and be on top of the hate list and can take over/maintain agro. just one example.
