You know, alot of people talk smack about the proposed changes to the STR line many months ago and how they would have made the STR line completely worthless....

I doubt it. I was taking abreak from the game at that time, but I've been using Chi, with weapons, and fucking love it. So all the other STR line abilities are 100% worthless to me whenever I have weapons equipped, (which is almost all the time). What could have been so bad that it was worse than nothing I wonder?

I heard that it was something like 3% double attack and 10% CA damage. that sounds fine to me, if they'd do that. 2 passive dps abilities in one line is actually pretty nice.

If they did something to make the str line usable I would easily drop agi line and go full line str wis and 4 4 8 int. This is something soe NEEDS to do as we are the only class that has basically a dead line. I am in a rping guild and i have guildies that love the str line because of the barehanded look. Sorry there are wraps and other items that give you the barehanded look if you want it. Get rid of the damn barehanded and put our unique line on par with the classes. Warrior get the buckler, rogues get fencing ect. We are the only class that is hurt by taking our special line when we have fabled gear.

3% is a good bit too much in my opinion.

I could see as much as 1.5% DA and +2.5% base CA damage per point for Strength 3 using your dual passive bonus idea.

But nothing, at all for double attack beyond 1.5-2% per point. That would be putting brawlers in the realm of predator single target DPS with 3% per point Double Attack for just about any brawler that knows to aye/bid on leather armor and brawler weapons from RoK Raids.

From what I had heard, when soe tried to revamp the str line before, they took str 3, and made it pure +ca damage, no double attack. Aka, useless since, like most over melee classes, our combat arts are only a fraction of our dps. And with there being so much +ca damage stuff in rok... you get where I'm going with that.

It was 6% to base CA damage with 8 points spent and Str4 was something like 60 mitigation per point.

Worse than the unarmed is now.

i refuse to post there cause i know im going to end up getting banned or the thread locked but can some one point out to the dude saying wait and that maybe we are going to get gloves as our epic that its a epic WEAPON not an epic Armor slot and the fact that The fabled t8 armor has 7 pieces and that you need 7 pieces to get the full bonus and that 7pieces for fabled set+glove epic =/= 7 armor slots

and yes there is almost no chance that you are going to be wearing the full set but thats not the point

How is that worse than unarmed is now? I'd fuckin go nuts if they'd give us that now! I cant tell ya how many times people have posted that it cant be a glove due to armor sets, people are retarded.

My point was the vast majority of people that use the line gain the benefit of the points spent, doing what you have done is take a 20 AA hit to get that ability, you did it intentionally.

For all real intents and purposes, per AA spent, the current Str Line is better than that modified one they placed then removed for how much of an increase you gain.

And the current tree is garbage as we all can agree on.

I agree pagansaint.

I just took a look on the Bruiser eq2players forums, someone posted a "design" picture for the epics that was released to a magazine. Looks to me like a Katar type weapon, or claw type. And it appears to be one handed...so we might not even have the option like we did with Wurmslayer to switch from dw to 2h.
