If Chi had a 3 min recast...

If Chi had a 3 minute recast, would you go down the STR line for it? I've always wanted to try it, but the terribly long recast makes it not worth it.

I've been told it's awesome with Knockout when you actually do use it though.

This is a wonderful ability to have in combination with knockout combo and I only use it for hard named fights. Yes the reuse timer is long....to long to actually say it is worth it taking the strgth line just for it alone. However since I am trying the strgth line out again I do use this and it can pay off once the group has the named's hps at like 40% it is almost like mana burn. It is a massive burst of dps with knockout combo, and it also refreshs knockout combo quicker by using chi.

It will grab aggro quickly so be prepared. I like it but I can't use it often enough in named runs or raids to justify saying that it is worth taking the strgth line. If you are already using the strgth line I would suggest taking it. Once it is used it should refresh every 9 mins because the ability itself makes the refresh timers not as long in conjunction with agil aa's.

All in all I like it for those hard named fights and I must save it till group gets the mob to like 40% other wise I will be tanking the whole fight if I use it from the get go. Pop chi/knockout combo, have all ca's up and ready, fire away, ca's should all be refreshed once chi expires, use ca's again, then df if needed. Awesome to witness!

Ok I think i'm going to give chi a try, because I'm bored and I have a mirror so if I don't like it I can switch back to my normal AA setup.

Just gotta figure out the best build to inlude chi for a bruiser who uses weapons. That'll be tricky.

I'd say Str: 86442 Wis: 44862 Int 448

Use a 2h so you can start with no weapons, hit the Str2 CA swap Weapon in and go.

Remember, Chi is just a 10 minute recast, not a 15. The ability itself speeds up re-use timers by 50%.

I'm spec'ed bare-fisted on my bruiser alt leveling up and with Chi and KO up everything falls FAST.

Yeah so I have been using Chi for a few days now and I'm really liking it. It certainly hasn't cut my dps any. I went with a spec very similar to what pagainsait posted and it's phenominal. Doing heroic names with a group, I'll parse like 8K and have the mob dead in 15 seconds. The downside is the in-between time, but still it's not a really big deal.

The only AA portion that I really lost was the faster recast from AGI line, and thats no big deal because I'm making up for it with the bonus from Chi.

I actually go down STR with weapons sometimes for chi, even with the 10m delay.
Enguard is stronger and doesnt take AAs. So imo 3 or 5m recast would be fair.
