Are you happy with your Epic?
This poll is simply to gather numbers and see what the community, as a whole, thinks of their epics (both versions).
I don't want this to de-rail into a "which class has the best epic" or "what things need to be changed about our epic" sort of discussion/argument. I think that if we can just get some pure numbers together, it will be quite clear to the developers behind these weapons that they have missed the mark.
I've made it multiple choice so that both versions can be considered.
Please vote only once for EACH version.

Re: Are you happy with your Epic?
Without comparing to the game altering epics of classes such as guardians epic. And realizing out of all the expansion EPIC weapon quests this probably one of the best i have seen. Realizing that this is better that any instance weapon available and realizing it will liely rival any contested drop. Yes i am happy with the weapon for the work involved.
Sure it could be better, Sure it sucks compared to certain classes god like class altering weapon. But overall they are all pretty powerful and likely 99% of the people will equip these weapon throughout all of RoK. The problem is the weapons could be better and fit certain classes roles better and a few classes got EXTREMLY powerful epics.

Re: Are you happy with your Epic?
I'm in the same boat.. The mythical is good and of course I'd use it, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't change things about it.
The only real issue I have with the item is the proc effect. I don't feel we *need* the taunt, and I feel the damage portion should be greater than what it is. But that's just me.
Also, the recast on the tsunami effect is a little on the long side. But again, that's just my opinion.
So yeah, I'm happy with the weapon. But yeah, I would change parts of it.
Regarding the fabled. Other than the cool look, I will never use the thing as it's sub-par compared to the Grim Brimstone hammer which is still a lower tier weapon.

Re: Are you happy with your Epic?
lol and seriously i basically solo'd the entire quest up until chelsith for the fabled version. The fabled version is better then any instance drop, it is better then almsot any raid instance drop. How can someone actually say that the fabled epic needs an improvement based on how easy it was to obtain. This fabled epic is shorter/easier quest then any other expansion epic to date and rewards a better item. there was no peacock 50 quest series, there was no claymore 3 hour camps. There was no prismatic 15 raid targets. We are talking about ground spawns on a class that can flop/harvest his way through an entire quest in what did it take for this epic to be completed 4 days without a walkthrough. I would put the fabled epic as a low teir (1/2) raid drop. that is about exactly where i see the epic fabled version as in regard to quality.
The question i am still undecided on is: Do i think the mythicasl epics should be better then contested drops? Honestly if i saw a weapon drop that is worse then an epic wpn on an avatar i would be dissapointed. I actually hope there is not many weapon on contested at all if the epic is supposed to be the be all end all of all weapons. Epics are still relatively easy to obtain.

Re: Are you happy with your Epic?
all in all, I think epic weapons are easier to obtain now than your tier 3 class armor was back at launch, if not, right about the same difficulty.
There is nothing epic about these quests. Pretty much every class is given the fabled for a non-raider (just a matter of time, and a little bit of effort) and the mythical is definately a given for the raiding counterpart.
I dunno, I just remember epics being epic. When I started my epic in eq1 back in 2000... all the walkthroughs were very well documented, and it still took AGES to even get to the portions where a raid would need to be implemented. And the Monk epic in that game was a cake walk compared to others.
I'm quite pleased with the bruiser epic fabled/mythical for the amount of work that goes into getting them.

Heh, I'm not saying that I think it should be better. Because based upon the effort put forth to get it, you're right, it's very good.
All I am saying is I won't use it because it's sub-par to a raid-gained item from the lower tier.
/shrug.

The only item i can remotely see that compares to the epic dps wise is cmayong fist? And even that wont out dps this item. Which magical item are you inferring?
Egh brimstone hammer? Egh i don't see 11% double atk and that spread/delay beating the 8% DA and this spread/delay.

Re: Are you happy with your Epic?
Only the Tranquil Stone can be called better, but it won't out DPS the fabled epic.
The 5% uncontested and the proc on the tranquil stone is better but it is a rather rare item and an Avatar drop (it should have its points that make it better), not an instance drop, not a raid drop, not a mostly solo acquired item.

Re: Are you happy with your Epic?
I'm talking about the Fabled, Gungo. Certainly not the Mythical version.
