What race did you choose for bruiser and why? I looked at some numbers on eq2players and it seems Iksar and Ratonga are popular. At least on Nagafen.

There really is no best race by end game where gear and stat caps more than compensate for any racial bonuses/negatives. The Ratonga is popular on PvP servers because of their smaller size which makes them harder to target and land positional attacks on. You can get the same size advantage out of gnomes, halflings, or Fae. Best to just go with the race that appeals to you the most visually.

Ya - i chose Ratonga due to the fact that i made my character in the beginning of the game and I'd never seen a rat before.

So no 90% of my characters are Ratongan... yay rats!

Crabbok

Human or Ogre are best.

Human because of skils buff and +7 defense +7 deflection.... Ogre because of Mitigation Buff, and they both get the extra HP.

I rolled my bruiser before they updated the racial traits. I went for looks. For raw sexiness the choice was clear - TROLL ftw!
You just can't beat the troll w/ swamp tendrils for the accessory. Looks like green dred locks.

And to be smaller, you can use any illusion including ratonga
