Rolling a Bruiser

Hi all,

I was looking to roll a Bruiser to start the game i was wondering if you all could tell me the Bruisers roll in an end game raid? also if a Bruiser could be dps in a raid with a 2h or duel weild weapon? And how well a Bruiser solo levels up?

Bruisers don't have much of a roll at all in an end-game raid really. We CAN be good dps, but sadly, we offer nothing to a raid in terms of utility. Every other DPS class either brings MORE dps than we do, or brings just about as much PLUS some great utility.

Bruisers as a class, are not needed in raids at all. The only exception, is if the PLAYER is very very good, and the raid has other dps classes that are falling a little behind.

I TELL YOU SOMETHING ABOUT RAIDING AND BRUISER:

in the whole fucking germany there is only one bruiser which is equiped with the myth. the second bruiser who got it left the game a week ago. the rest of the bruisers are slackers, whiners and sissy's. they get outparsed even from healers! the only thing they are doing ist blue "?" collecting in chardok and sebillis...

so IF U WANT TO RAID AND PLAY A BRAWLER - GO FOR MONK...

the second option: ROLE A BRUISER AND SHOW ALL OTHER CLASSES THAT THEY SUCK, CAUSE U PARSE THEM OUT!

From my personal experiance the bruisers roll in a Top end raid is "We can only field a 23 person raid.... you wanna just go, there is 5 bruisers LFW but the down side is... they are all bruisers..." "Ya sure, we can tell one to just FD incase of a wipe and an extra Altruism wount kill us"

/tell bruiser well... your better than an empty spot, barely, might as well come along.

As for my experience, Bruiser have harder time to get into a serious guild because we are not the most wanted class.
Still, as Crrabok mentioned it, if you are a GOOD player, as for utility Altruism is a good tool, Divide and Conquer too, for some fights we are great off tanks (or just NEEDED for fighting the sisters in SoH)
Our Fd can make the raid recover faster after a wipe, Drag is PRICELESS and when you need to burn an heroic add you can drop DFist.
TBH i played a lot of classes up to 70 and i ditched the mega healing of the defiler, the utility of the dirge, and the dps of my assassin for that Bruiser class, and i'm not changing anyday soon. Yet again, this is personal.

From what I am witnessing bruisers have taken a back seat to monks very much so with this expansion. A monk being able to heal, group fd, spell/melee haste buff, peel/tsunami, and with all the 4 sec plus weapons and a monks haste makes for some solid fighter dps. When I have the opportunity to group with monks that are played well I can see the reason why they are so strong of a class. Right now I can't think of another fighter class that offers group utility, soloability, and possibly the best fighter dps. In a way it could be said that a monk could be the other conerstone of a solid group.

The bruiser was at one time looked at as being the dps brawler, but now in this expansion monks are the dps brawler and everything in between. This is just a saying that I read the other day "one well played monk is better than two excellently played bruisers".

tbh a monk shouldnt parse more than a bruiser, considerin you have just as many ca's, but tey do about 30% more dps than a monks.... and yes we have haste, but that doesnt make THAT much of a difference in monk V. bruiser dps, its pretty much even with the edge going to bruisers.
