Ok I have a question. Do you guys stack Knockout with Crane Flock? I have had some mixed results but normally on max burn I throw KO and blow my CA's and then when KO is on cool down I hit crane flock and keep my dps up waiting for CA's to refresh. I have also gotten some nice burst damage by stacking the two temps but I don't think I maximizing by doing it. Is there a consensus on which meathod is better.

Short Answer: Generally no.

As with most temps, it is most efficient to wait until the duration on one has expired before starting another. For example, you hit Knockout, and then instead of casting a CA, your mousing over to Crane Flock, starting that one... so you loose some damage. Plus you having all your eggs in one basket like that allows for an even bigger headache if something bad happens, IE silly ranger pulls aggro and you end up chasing down the mob loosing half your attack due to range, or something similar.

Now Sometimes I will use both, when it's an easy mob and all of us are trying to get a super high parse... just for fun's sake. Like the statues in KorSha, or sometimes a VP trash mob. I know those mobs are only gonna live like 20 seconds tops... so I may go all out and hit an 11K parse once in awhile on those.

i find that KO and crane flock kinda work against each other. maybe its just me in that with KO you would want to hit as many CAs as possible while its up but with crane flock i generally dont want to miss an auto attack since flock is doubling those attacks.

maybe it's just me. i would guess that a fair amount of haste would help mitigate this issue.

You do realise timing through Knockout only loses you two ca's right? (Fastest recast ones) Considering during that time you'll do considerably more auto atacks then two it outweighs just spamming through it unless ofcourse the fight is a damn short one and/or certain situations.

Sorry for the above post my browser is having some difficulties, perhaps Trumak can delete it?

<repost>
1. My regular CA order is as follows:
(Master Strike)
Baton Flurry
Hammer
Front Kick
Blaze Kick
Adamantine Fist
One Hundred Hands
Double Stomp
Eagle Spin
Gut Punch
Comet Punch
Chin Break
Eye Rip
Brutal Bashings (Troll Racial - DD + Stun, 60 sec recast)

I separate my stuns in my CA order so as to gain maximum effect when soloing or running instances. Unlike a few other folks here I'm not too fussed over prioritising Eye Rip as it's not the most crucial of debuffs imo.

2. If I am running Knockout then at the end of my order before Knockout expires I'll add:
Hammer
Front Kick
Savage Assault
Crane Sweep

3. If I have three or more mobs around me then I will use:
Savage Assault
Body Flail
Crane Sweep
Crane Flock
(commence regular CA order)

I agree 100% with Crabbok on Knockout + Crane Flock, right on the money. I also use the timing Savage Assault on the pull technique that Crabbok describes, it can work very well for a quick jump on DPS.

Question...

I am a lazy CA spammer. I have made some lacklustre attempts at timing CAs but became quickly frustrated. I know Crabbok recently switched over to the timing CA method and now advises others to do so as well. So my question is what is the best way to time CAs?

- I have no interest in hearing annoying beeps from ACT every two seconds
- Watching for the appropriate coloured numbers over a mobs head doesn't real cut it for me either as zone geometry or the large size of a mob can often cause issues with this
- Watching an auto-attack channel seems possible but still I need to have my eye on the CAs I'm punching so I can see challenges in this method as well especially if tanking and watching health bars, mob bounce, possible adds, detrimental effects window etc.

i sorted my ca's from the lowest recast to the longest recast.

as i am always buffed over 130-190 haste i never do anything else then ca - aa - ca - aa - ca - aa.. even when i throw knockout kombo in. i only loose 2 ca's but get max out with aa still hitting the mob. for max dps und short fights (< 30 secs) i hit ko combo AND craneflock. 8k plus inc. The two temps works perfectly together as one is pushing our ca's the other pushing our aa's to max power... by keeping that order i never have to wait for a ca.
