- I have no interest in hearing annoying beeps from ACT every two seconds
- Watching for the appropriate coloured numbers over a mobs head doesn't real cut it for me either as zone geometry or the large size of a mob can often cause issues with this
- Watching an auto-attack channel seems possible but still I need to have my eye on the CAs I'm punching so I can see challenges in this method as well especially if tanking and watching health bars, mob bounce, possible adds, detrimental effects window etc.

I had the same issue. I've found ACT by far the easiest way to time the auto attacks however. What I did was just get a custom .wav file, lower the volume on it through a file editor and just use that. It's not nearly as annoying as beeps, and works well.

I use custom wav files, diffrent ones for hits Vs Misses. Mine however, are loud, and people in my ventrilo make fun of me when i key up because they always here the Dings and Floops!

I watch for hits/misses in my combat log to time autos. Plus you get in a rhythm after a bit. And fuck hearing some noise every second, that would drive me BANANAS.

at first i had a loud sound playing with my auto attacked. by the end of the night I had given myself pretty wicked headache. so that why i went and turned down the volume on the .wav file. bnow it not nearly so annoying and i don't have to stare at my combat spam for timing.

like trumak said though. combat spam works fine once you get into the rhythm

Thanks for the suggestions folks, I'll try a combat channel like Trumak suggested and see how I go.

I was wondering since Chi has come out have the desired CA lineup changed?
I currently use:
Baton Flurry, Pressure Point, Front Kick, Hammer, (Master Strike), Eye Rip, Adamantine Fist, Double Stomp, One Hundred Hands, Blaze Kick, Blaze Kick, back to Front Kick and Hammer, Chin Break, Eagle Spin, Gut Punch, Desolating Fist, back to front kick and Hammer, then Baton Flurry, pressure point, Savage Assault, Front Kick and Hammer, then pretty much as they come up again.

and if it's up before battle I'll cast Chi, then KO... I usually do another KO before Chi is up then wait for both to be up at same time.

When chi is up, still go with your same order. No reason why not to have the fast recast CA's back up early even when chi is up. Make the most out of it.

what I meant is that I keep the same casting order, I just cast Chi and then Knockout. Once that fight is done, I usually do another round with Knockout before Chi is up again, then I wait for them both to be up before I use either again, and I use in combination.

Noob Question time.

What about HOs? Doesn't seem like any of you are adding those in. If so, when? If not, why?
