Don't discount the set bp either.
The focus is ok and the 4 peice set is nice.

Yup it is, just wondering in my actual config if it's really worth ditching swirling lava Gi.
I guess now the smart loot is on and two patterns drop on Traka + not recruiting anymore (then no new recruits) i will soon have the luxury of trying it out.
I got down to 3 pieces lately cause i dropped the helm for lava retardant mining cap. so no more bonus on KO combo /cry at least for now.
If i pick set BP i might switch my dps tempo adorn with the crit one to have some insane perma crit base. still some work to go through i guess ! and wondering what the new avatars will drop + how the suposed new curves are going to ruin the crit rates ^^

Default Re: BP or not to BP ?

After getting most everything i wanted from this expansion i have come to the conclusion that both the avatar bp and the vp crit bp are worse then the set bp for me.

Why?

Because raid buffed (as in a bard with dkmt) with the set bp (7crit) and using the set boots (7crit) instead of the avatar boots (easy content and not tanking anything hard) i sit at 85% critical.

Add in the mythical proc which procs 2.4 ppm for 12% and i am at 97% critical add in a 4% crit potion and i am at 101% critical throughout the entire fight. Can even add in the 3% rillis stone to overcap crit and leave me at a 92% melee crit without relying on procs and 104% melee crit with the myth proc up.

This leave me with ~60-75% double atk (~50% gear) depending on group setups. 10% bard or 10% illusionist (not IA) or 10% templar. Add in ring proc of 25% and earring from hate proc 10%. I am generally over 100% DA as well most of the time.

On top of that i also gain more damage to one hundred hand atk and I gain the 4 set peice bonus to knockout damage. Which puts me well over the bonus of any 1.8 or 1.6 ppm unmodifiable crit bp.

Now if you are tanking of course gear will change depending on how hard the content is you cna go the extreme and use the t1-t3 3 peice set of helm bp and shoulders, avatar boots, and the parry wrist from hate. But right now unless you are tanking tangrin nothing really requires any of that stuff.

Bruiser tip #101.
Want to add more crit to that total unequip your offhand weapon and place it into inventory use the rillis stone on you offhand weapon and reequip. Viola 2x 3% melee crit for a total of 107% melee crit w myth and 95% standing crit.

Bruiser tip #102-
Want a bit more tanking and don't have the stone of power add a riposte adornment (slash only) to the power tap vp weapon.

You don't like Shozoku? I think it's pretty hot! And yeah set BP is nice too. It was a sleeper for me, DIdn't realize how good it woudl actually be until I started using it. Also originally thought the 100 hands bonus would only apply to the 1st hit.... so was pleasantly surprised that it works on all hits.

Shozuku is nice i would prolly drop set bp amd my set boots for avatar boots and shozuku when tanking (and dont feel the need to use the t1-t3 set). But that proc in no way beats the dps gain of the 4 peice set bonus, bp effect and 14 crit.

But my main point is for peopel who can obtain the avatar crit robe the effect is almost always useless by that point of gear progression. Which is why it baffles me we have bruisers here with 90% standing critical in raids proclaiming the dps potential of this robe when it is obviously less then the gain from the set bp.

I dunno man, Shozoku's proc alone has been around 12% of my zonewide on multiple occasions. For me it outparses teh set tunic, just by a little bit.
