    Default Bruiser AA Specs

I know Achievements have been discussed to death, but still we constantly see people asking for spec ideas in all sorts of new threads. I just wanted to make one thread, with a title that was clear and unmistakable. If it catches on, maybe sticky it so we can eliminate all the new threads on the subject.

I'll start out with my opinion on AA specs.

    AAs
Brawler Tree - Here is a common DPS spec for bruisers. Emphasis on Chi, Re-use, and crit, with a little extra AoE from the wis line.
    STR 44862
    AGI 448
    WIS 445
    INT 448

If you have very high crit (usually from lots of raid gear) you can drop the INT line and try this spec. This is what I currently use.
    STR 45882
    AGI 448
    WIS 44882

    Bruiser Tree -
There is very little variation on specs for this tree.
Conditioning Line - Heal, Spirit, Stone Deaf, Close Mind, and grab Retribution of Stone.
Knockouts - Grab all DPS enhancements and only 1 point in Trepidation, and get Drag.
Attention - I suggest getting this line last IE after you have MAX AA. Put just enough in to get Control Hate. Make sure you pick up shiftiness along the way and enhancing rescue is very nice.

At the end you should have an extra point. I put that last one into Tenacity.
I suggest avoiding the Sacrifice line altogether.

    Shadows Tree-
    This is my spec
General: Get Max HP, and either power, run speed, or maybe diety pet. (Double harvest is actually cool too)
Fighter: 5 Swinging Strike, 5 Battle Hardening, 1 sneering Assault (Stances are good options too, especially for a non raider)
Brawler: 5 Tactical Precision, 5 Deflecting Blow, 5 Aversion, 1 Inner Focus. (Inner focus is best for raiders) (If you exclusively use Offensive stance, then drop aversion and maybe grab blazing Cobra)
Bruiser: 5 Calming Demeanor, 4 Deadly Assault, 5 Hardened Skin, 5 Adrenaline Rush, Both End Line abilities.
For a non raider I'd suggest dropping adrenaline rush, and putting those points into deadly assault and bruising fury.
The shadows spec above is more tank-ish, but you can tailor it to be a more pure DPS spec if you REALLY want to.

There are some variations in specs other than what I have listed, but most of teh variation you are likely to see will be in the brawler tree. Some folks will put extra points into the INT line for Parry, while some folks will go all the way down the AGI line for Altruism. All the specs I have listed are just my opinion and not necessarily the best for all people and all situations.

I am pretty much always in the dps spec you listed for non raid tanking.
    4/4/8/6/2 str
    4/4/8 agi
    4/4/5 wis
    4/4/8 int
But with the amount of tanking i have been doing in tso and the fact wis line is quite insignificant for me in raids. I actually for te first time ever am using the AA mirror to go to a very tank spec when needed.
    4/4/8/8/2 str
    4/4/8/6/2 agi
    4/4/8/3 int
I would ultimately like to go down your brawler spec but i dont feel comfortable with my current crit % to do that yet.

My bruiser treee is the same.

and my tso tree is close i have taken the mitigation AA as well. Npcs hit so much harder now that you need as much mitigation as you can get.

question is calmign demeanor even noticable it was reduced to what 5% now. For me it is a choice between that or bruising fury/divide and conquer.

Gungo you tried STA line yet? I gained alot of avoidance from just maxing deflection and combining that with STR line. If your tanking alot maybe give it a try. I tried it at the styart of the expac and was hitting over 90% avoid solo. Didn't keep it though as I don't tank as often.

Calming was reduced to 5%? That is bullshit.

Looks pretty good, however my tso spec is a bit different.

Fighter - 5 enhance rescue, 5 battle hardening.

Brawler - 5 tactical precision, 5 deflecting blow, 5 aversion, inner focus.

Bruiser - 5 conquer, 5 deadly assault, 5 hardened skin, 5 adrenaline rush, impenetrable will, staggering blow.

I am the main tank and this is the best set up for me.

How do you like the DnC 5 point upgrade? I didn't think it'd have much raid value due to so many mobs being immune to lock effects.

raid value so far seems almost useless, its not just aggro immunity, sometimes you just want the named and not his 5 epic adds, it easier and safer to cancel two adds you may pick up, but if you get the whole encouter, you may spike and drop. Grouping it owns obviously.

Having said that i have it maxed, h have a really bad habit and thats i don't use my mirrior, im just set to do everything and rarely change specs unless i really really need to, i mean i've tanked end game content witiout going full defensive witiout any issues. Obviously with the avi changes it will be more beneificial to do so now.

o and crabbok, id seriously just do a pure dps spec, a pure tank spec, then a balanced one. I realise the balanced one may be more op based but we could be here all day if we start going on ifs and buts. Id also suggest putting an aa line order in there to stop any new bruisers asking whats best to take first, since i've seen that question enough.

yeah but I fins I seldom need an encounter lock. With zero points in it i STILL get the hate position increase AND the raw hate. Then I tab to a mob that didn't get the lock and work on them... pretty much don't feel it'd be worth the 5 points, but thats just me.
