    Default Proc Haste/Proc DPS

As a typical solo/pug type bruiser, I rarely get my haste and dps where they need to be. I am interested in knowing of items to get these to where they should be in my opinion.

I already have shard gloves with is 35% + 3% haste. Right now I am coveting MC rings for there proc dps and proc haste. I really would like to be able to have more flexibility in these slots.

What items do you guys know about that have proc haste or proc dps(group and raid)?

Jewel of Animosity procs strength, dps, and double attack, but deals alot of damage to you. It rocked last expansion, this expansion it's not adviseable to use while solo.

I'd suggest using the mastercrafted STR ring and the PHH helm if your looking to proc DPS and haste. You could also use the Rallos Zek Diety cloak, or the Star Sharpened Cestus from Contested Mayong to proc DPS, but overall I'd say stick with the MC ring for DPS proc.
The Mastercrafted AGI ring is okay, but I'd try and get a better ring if I were you, maybe the band of Thugga.

Crabbok, at what point would you suggest dropping a STR ring? For non-raiding folks there are several nice legendary rings out there that have good str, melee crit and double attack. For example, assuming equal STR iyo would it be worthwhile taking +2 melee crit over the MC STR ring?

Is there any way to increase the DMG dealt from procs?

I've heard some people explain it to me as the dmg procs being treated as spells, and so can be effected by Int? Anyone know if theres any truth to that?

Yes, INT directly effects the damage you do from most types of procs. My understanding is that if the damage type for the proc is physical (crush/pierce/slash) then INT won't help you but if it is any other resist type e.g. Disease, Magic, Heat, Cold etc. then INT will directly effect the damage. This is presisely the reason INT adornments are suggested for the earing slots as it adds a little boost to your procs.

Keep in mind INT will also effect the damage of Lightning Fist (magic) and Coment punch (heat).

It'd be tough for me to suggest any good time to drop the STR ring honestly. There is one ring from instances that is basicly a direct upgrade from the MC str ring, but I don't have a link or it's name on me at the moment.

Basicly, what makes that ring really nice is the fact that it's proc is treated as a temp, which means it will take you above the cap if you happen to be at the cap on STR or DPS. Additionally the DPS granted from teh ring is pretty high. Higher than alot of other items, and if you are solo or in a group, I'm betting that your dps mod isn't all that high, especially if you aren't a raider.

If you had another ring you wanted to use over the STR ring, I would say when your group is buffing you over 85 DPS mod or so, it's ok to drop the ring, but I'd hope your dropping it for something really good.

Thanks for the excellent advice Crabbok. I think you raise a good point about switching in the MC STR ring when no one is buffing your DPS mod; I shall give that a go.

In my DPS setup I am currently at 40% and in my prefered tank setup 36% so plenty of scope for improvement.

The two rings are currently use in my DPS setup are:

Ring of the Wolfslayer - LootDB.com | EverQuest II Item Database - Ring of the Wolfslayer
Wind Worn Ring - LootDB.com | EverQuest II Item Database - Wind Worn Ring

I wear the Wind Worn Ring for the three set bonus which is really decent. If you can suggest any improvements that I could make your advice would be very welcome.

mc rings have never taken me above the 200 cap on dps or haste, unless this is something knew

str i have no fucking clue it is suppose to cap around 1200 somewhere but i still gain some bonus even at 1500-1600 on raids so wtf knows.
